I guess it was a bad day to switch phones! That and of course the dog.........

Speaking of the dog, he has settled down quite a bit. He is happy to lay down at our feet and hang with the family. This morning the Rat and he decided to have a little tussle....... I was shocked to see the big dog knocked off his feet and the maniac little mutt dancing all over him.

Cuties? You have a free weekend?

Say, some of you remember my evil SIL? All of you with married off children, how would you handle your DIL or SIL throwing you out of the house and telling you that you were no longer welcome there, just because you did not agree with their political views........... I honestly believe this lady needs medical help..... she is so whacked.....

Anyway, enough of that. I did get a good pic of the dog the other day and the rescue asked for a frontal shot, so I'll share his mug shot and one of him playing in the yard.

Wow!! And I thought liberals were the tolerant ones;). I had some issues like that with my cousins before, but never to that level. Not sure what to do. You need to talk to your brother about it and stay away from political conversations. No politics! Things are tough with that right now and emotions are running high all around. Now if you aren't talking about it but she just knows you don't agree and she still throws you out, well then if your brother doesn't put his foot down then there is nothing you can do.

If it were only that simple....... this would be my SIL throwing my in-laws out of the house. If anybody in my family attempted to do something like this the rest of the gang would be on them like white on rice. We were raised better than that......

Hey Jim!

I saw Dan lurking earlier too.

Noooooo politics, people, please.

My birds get the holiday turkey carcass. They pick the bones clean. And any freezer burnt meat, but I always cook it thoroughly first. They get lots of leftover tidbits, but never anything moldy or rotten.

The birdies got a bunch of apples that fell off the trees and a ton of fallen leaves in their coop today. I hope to do some more raking tomorrow before the rain starts.

Then off to IL to watch DHs band. It's gonna be a long day................

Hi All

SClark....If you were closer I would take a few off your hands... I don't have enough layers to keep up with egg orders!

My girls get leftovers and meat scraps too. Some I feed raw and some I cook. Since I don't butcher enough of my own birds to feed us all year I buy chicken. I always cook those scarps because you never know what they may carryform chicken hell. When my son was doing allot of fishing I fed them fish scraps. Some they ate, some they didn't. Eggs didn't seem too fishy. Moldy stuff goes to the compost pile, if they want to waddle back to pick through it, that's fine.

That's it for now.... night all!

She is kicking her husband's parents to the curb. Those two have been married for almost 18 years too.

Gotta love family get togethers!

Have one going on here today for DD's b-day- she will be 14 years old on Nov 21st- yep born on deer hunting weekend!

Had to empty a decorative bottle of vodka as the cork started crumbling- looks to be good yet and we'll probably add some vanilla beans to it.

Best go check the food!

Rainy and cloudy here...suposta be windy, but not yet. I might have to sit in the rain today if the wind doesn't pick up. Didn't see any deer this morning..

Not a prob bl4, was lookin for ya maybe as a show...no biggie, but irish will agree that it's really goodie chicken!

Bad house fire just down the road a few miles...did't get the details, but it wasen't good for sure. Hope it never happens here for sure.

One of my bro's was here today...put up a ladder stand for him in a good spot. I hope he bags a meaty one..can't eat the horns...guess I shoulda that earlier this bowseason.

Not much to add these days... We feed the girls most everything I would give them left over cooked chicken but never raw. DH says its nasty so I rather agree and we don' t, very often besides that the extended yard we use for the birds is one of those green plastic fences so the dog loves crawl under and eat with them. I gave them the turkey carcass last year and they loved it. When giving them meat there is not more than they can eat at one sitting and we clear all bones before we lock them up for the night or we would have varmits I am certain. The strangest thing though is they seem to eat and like the rhubarb leaves. I have heard that there is acid in the leaves that will make "mammals" sick/burn their tongues. It has never affected their laying or anything else that I have noticed... strangest thing.
As for the MIL the poor husband is one whipped guy. Sure should stand up for his Mom and Dad and ask all to change the subject and move on and try and salvage the relationships. So sad if they have small children that have witnessed this behavior, surely they will reap what they are sowing...IMHO

Stay dry all!
