It worked! Jim the babies are doing awesome! The blue one is just fine. I feel so bad I did that. I won't let the kids hold him yet. I don't want to make it more sore! They love them so much. I have to be the bad guy to make them let them eat!

Del, I am glad all of your birds were not affected. But still sad you are having to go through this :-(

Thanks, delish...kinda thought it was .05ml but didn't want to overdoit....yep, it's bigz that has the snot running...closing down the ventilation...must be drafty enough to be troublesome. Hope I can nip this right away...respiratory diseases are so easy for the birds to catch.....guldarnit! Always something it seems.

Almost forgot to say...happy FFF to everyone....baked haddock with parmo spuds again. The leftovers from wild turkey day can be used tomorrow....jennie took most of them home with her.....working folks like the easy meals,eh!

Walked 60 acres without cutting a single deer track...

not normal here at all.

Maybe the neighbors will chase one over tomorrow?

Wow, it is quiet around here. Not that I am complaining. Usually when I missed a day or 2, I'd be behind 10+ pages.

I can handle this much better, especially around a holiday.

No black Friday shopping here, just bF travelling home. And loving it.

I hope everyone had a great turkey day. We headed nort to spend the holiday with my brother: first time in a long time. It was awesome. We went to the Waubee Lodge and it was amazing. So nice not to have to cook/clean for once.

So sorry to hear about the mishap, momg. I hope you heal up real fast. Ouch!

Those kids are just too cute with their new birds, cuties.

I hope Bigz is better real soon, Bigz.

And really sorry about your losses, Del. I am hopeful by your description that your beautiful gold laced roo in your avatar was not affected?

He sure is a beauty. I hope you are able to get some sort of compensation from the feed mill. What a bunch of cra*!

Jim--this post was also misnumbered! I had no idea what you were talking about because the numbers were fine and made sense...until I got to this last post! I thought maybe it just needed to be refreshed...nope! It is kinda weird having the post be numbered higher than the actual amount of posts--

Glad Cuties took those Keets! They will have a great home and Syd will probably have them doing tricks by next week. ALSO--you didnt give me any wine when I visited (except for during supper) Sheesh--now I feel slighted. Yes that fam does quite an amount of driving...I remember doing that too...it's cause the kids fall asleep and you dont have to deal with them! (at least that's why we took long rides!)

Sorry to hear about the birds Deli--how many did you actually lose? I hope the company can do something for you! You still have the rest of the feed right? I would get right on that for sure.

Clark...did I miss something about the baby? You made it sound like it was a rough start to life?

There was something else I wanted to comment on...cant remember. I think my very full stomach is pressing on my brain or something! I sure wish I had some 7up! I am just stuffed--and we ate right after the game!

ETA: It was the immersion blender story! OOOWWWWW! Those little blades look really sharp. Did you press the button and it turned on---or did you just run your finger over the blade! Either way--OUCH again!

Now by telling you this I'm only doing it to be informative to people. I know I'm not the only parent going thru this and want to make it clear how important it is for everyone involved that heads not be turned when dealing with this. My younger daughter is a member of this thread and I'm sure will be upset with me for even posting.

My daughter is a meth addict and had been doing multiple drugs thru out her pregnancy. So much so that they took custody of the baby at the hospital and turned it over to me before baby could be discharged. Not only had my daughter had high levels of methamphetamine, she had THC and Amphetamines as did the baby. I had suspected but without proof had no way of knowing what truths she had been telling. It was due to this that we weren't very close in our relationship as I don't approve of her lifestyle and even more so when I found out she was pregnant. They were going to put the baby in foster care but I stepped in and now have her and the baby at my house. The baby, Anellia visually is good, she is however going thru withdrawals now and they said it could last up to 6 months. We have a LONG road ahead.

You defiantly have your hands full. It is wonderful to have a new baby in the house. I have nothing to say about adding the addict other than I sure hope you have help and resources to help you.
