and don't you believe it. there is no woman alive who would make such a promise.. OR:
Heather, did you mistakenly think on the day that you made that promise that it was Dec 24 ?

talking about cookies,, I was eating a couple of pecan puffs (crescents) ,, did you ever drop one down the front of your sweatshirt ? It sort of rolled/skidded so I had a 2 inch wide and 6 inch long trail of powdered sugar .. what a sweet mess..

I have not been outside yet. gotta cuppa up first..

I hope that one Del roo is over his pecking order thingy.. He and the top red star hen were going at it when I left the coop last night.. he was pretty bloodied up..Hope she didn't kill him dumb sh!t ..

Delish, I had red stars in the past.. we really liked them.. One year I bred a few with my pretty multicolored roo.. I set 64 eggs and hatched out about 70 pullets.. every color combination you can imagine.. I originally set those eggs for our meat supply .. so I put a post on Craig's List, "will trade 1 pullet for 1 rooster.." the first lady came and bought 35 of them .. I traded all the rest for roosters .. good deal for me, good deal for them.. my pullets were only a few weeks old, so I had hardly any feed in them,, I got all full grown roosters in exchange.. One barred rock that looked SQ to me, I kept ..

forward him to me,, maybe I can sell him a plucker ..?? at any rate I could answer any butchering questions..

He has changed his name several times and I have blocked him so many times. He just keeps coming back with new names..today he told me he is looking for a woman who loves to kill chickens and wants pictures of girls butchering....very creepy

He has the color of a Bielefelder and the type of a Rock....pretty bird for sure...I bet a good meat bird and good flavor..

I just came in from the shop.. I didn't bother lighting a fire in the stove.. I am building a holder for one of my waterers with the octagon base.. I am tired of the geese tipping it off of the heater base..
which reminds me, and gives me more incentive, I have to make an appt with the processor over in Dorchester.. 9 of these geese are going along for the ride of their life ..

I will take some pictures of the waterer and heater base holder.. all I have to do is remember to take the camera along out there..

Heather lady-of-the-smoulder, you are a scream as per usual. Hilarious you should say that about the knitting because for the first time in a while I found a pattern for a hat that really inspires me! I'm going for it! Knowing me, I'll probably get it done in time for the 4th of July!
How are the silkies doing? Our little dude is doing great!
