CS, make your own eggnog! Alton Brown has a good recipe. If you have a Kwik Trip nearby they have decent tasting nog, you need to cut it with milk due to the sweetness level. You can find tree tapping supplies at Fleet Farm.....

This is what I was going to say too! I certainly would IF I could get an unfrozen egg AND save them up until I had a dozen! Vicky, I copied your recipe down and saved it. I love HM egg nog the best. I have never tempered the eggs though....I will try your method and see if I like it. Thanks! Glad Casha is doing better too!
Liza's numbers were way down and we doubled her Pred. She seems a bit better. I think it is all we can hope for though since I feel it is an immune reaction from cancer. We are feeding her good (and she is helping herself too--*see above--LOL) Hopefully she will make another bash--I know she loves all you guys! Especially the kids that drop their plates on the ground!

Just had a couple sandwiches from the left over bear roast made with ho-made kraut..They were bragging delicious if I may say so. The kraut was better than any store bought for sure. Sure am glad I have enough for the whole year. I have visions of brats and burgers topped with the good stuff as soon as this brutal weather leaves town.

Monthly meeting in town tonight. Sure wish I could stay home tonight.

good morning,, minus -20 F below right now..

I looked closely at the chickens' combs last night,, No frostbite there.. despite my supplemental heat ..

the pack needs to sell 3000 more tickets or else there might be a tv blackout.. If they black it out, I am done with watching any games.. hell, the players could take up a collection and buy those tickets ..

I am making BBQ pork short ribs for dinner today.. GS birthday,, his request ..
Last night Annie made an angel food cake from scratch with 7 minute frosting..

I sure am not having any trouble staying above 210 pounds during all this holiday celebration ..
I have a date with my cardiologist on Jan 24.. He is not going to be happy with me .. I am not happy with me..

having my first cuppa.. I sure like that one-cup coffee maker .. I start it up , and by the time I get the TV turned on and select a station, the coffee is done..

I think I might make another heater base for the chicken coop.. I am hauling two 5 gallon jugs out there each day.. this way it will be only one bundle up and one trip .. one of these days the electrical circuit is not going to take any more..
