Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good evening--quick post before bed...our wood stove is cranked and it is hot as hell in here! I tried the "word" CC--we will see what happens! LOL!
I made Fish Tacos tonight for dinner...D ate too much while he was at friends' for the game--tough luck for him! THey were fantastic! I do feel a bit of heartburn coming on though...

I heard there was a party and certain folks overimbibed (is that a word?) I will let them tell the details if wanted!

My eyes are closing...I guess this is a really short post tonight...my bed is calling!
Nighties--stay warm tomorrow...I think Monday is cancelled for most...unfortunately I still have to work. :(

The egg count is up, Jim, so I'm thinking the snow eating might have been from boredom? It wasn't from lack of water. We have a 5 gallon, a 3 gallon and a 1 gallon waterer out there. They seem to go through about 3 gallons a day for 40 birds. And they go through about 50 lbs. of feed in a week.

We have ducks!

DH drove out to his folks house this afternoon and stuffed the little buggars into our wire dog kennel. Not really room for food and water in there, but tomorrow they will have plenty of room. My BIL was kind enough to take time today and build a little pen for them that I can put in the dining room. Unfortunately he built it about an inch too wide for our doorways! So after a minor adjustment, he will bring it back tomorrow. I'll post some pics when I have it in place.

Met up with Cuties at LMiller's place last night......... and everyone had a 'good' time....... did anyone catch the number of that bus that hit me?

That's about it here. Just trying to keep the heat on and everyone comfortable.

I am shocked BigFam is not on here with comments of survival tips for staying warm, like sharing body heat and so on.....

I just came home about an hour ago to find 4 large fire trucks in the neighbor's yard..

I stopped to see what-up ? chimney fire,, all taken care of and the trucks were just ready to leave..
no damage,, nobody hurt ..

the meal went real good.. and cards afterwards was fun.. nobody was out for blood and we played some long rounds and talked, mostly ..

my feet are about frozen, though,, DD#1's van doesn't have a very hot heater.. I told her to get a higher temp thermostat..

I think I will do some baking tomorrow ,, just to warm up the house.. although it is not cold in here. I just want some fresh dinner rolls.. I was going to have a PB & J sandwich before bed tonight, but the boughten bread was moldy.. so I had to settle for some cheetos ..

I am going to hibernate for about 2 days starting right now..

Hi All!

Just trying to stay warm here! I made a couple of Flock Blocks for the birds. Hope they like them. Just sort of threw together what I had on hand. Wish I had more suite to put in.

That's it.... Night All..... Stay Warm!!!

Haha miss, we must have seen the aame bus ;-)
We broke down and gave the birss a space heater. It is the shut off safety kind. And the pens have heat lamps secured.
We now have a lb inside for the winter. She must have got in the water dish :-( her feet were all froze. Hopefully we caught it in time, and she will be ok. Very red, bit no discolored skin. We will just have to wait and see. She is now the chick babysitter. It is very crowded in there now. Hubby will be needing to bring in another box. Good thing those lb are so sweet. She is not picking on the chicks.
Hubby gets to stay home with the kids today. I am sooo jealous!! Although he is in the process of passing a kidney stone. Not jealous of that. Hope it keeps moving!
Jim, you could head to our house and do some baking :-D it would be awesome to com e home to some fresh dinner rolls.
Be careful, and bundle up today!! Give the birds some extra treats.
