Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hi All!

Bl4.... Good for your son!

Jim... Sounds like Pup needs more training! Too bad about the birds.

Not much going on here.... Night All!

good morning, we have a good 4 to 5 inches of snow here.. I am not going to plow until later this afternoon.. we are supposed to be getting some freezing rain earlier in the day.. If I plow early, then that freezing rain will fall on bare ground and we will slip and slide for the rest of the winter..

Yeah Cind, I thought that Puppy was over playing with the chickens.. He spent the rest of the day being rejected by me.. I hope he can put two and two together..

Mel, that guy who blew himself up was considered a half bubble off of plumb.. the cops were called out there prior to this ..

I got up before 5AM.. made pancakes and sausage for everyone and I am all cuppa'd up..

I have one email to answer and then I will go water the flocks..

well, I lied.. I plowed,, I was done way before noon.. I tried to start the tractor, and it popped right off.. as long as it was running I decided to make a short pass.. which lead into another, and another until I had everything all plowed.. It doesn't look like we are going to get that freezing rain.. at least I am hoping not ..

When I went out to lock up tonight,I noticed Peekachu my Lav Orp Roo wasn't acting right. When I threw out some scratch, he acted like he was eating it but only put his head down to watch the hens. I went over and he let me pick him up and kept his head hanging down. I put him up on the roost for the night and he just hung his head on my arm. He doesnt have anything in his crop and seemed weak or dizzy. He seems perfectly alert and doesnt sound congested. After sitting and half holding him for the past 30 mins, the only thing that might be unusual is he seems to be taking soft deep breaths, Kind of like when someone is sleeping. There is no raspiness, panting, or anything. This is the weirdest thing, but the way he is acting I dont think he will make it through the night. I have the webcam on him and whenever I check, he is laying down and has his head hanging of the roost. I havent noticed anything unusual lately, although I only see them for a few mins in the morning and when I lock up at night lately. None of the others seem sick.Any ideas?
