CC: What is the name of your Husbands band and what type of music? We are so glad you two had a good time! It was so nice to see you again. It was a lot of fun. I wish you could have stayed longer. They did some songs I am sure Joe would have enjoyed. But that must have been a real test of your willpower. You two did real good! The band got 5 more shows booked as a result, so that is good. They will be playing at the Lily Lake Resort in Burlington in May so maybe we can get together then?
Thanks DanI agree with you here Mel, but "plugging holes" in the budget is top down in WI right now,,,,
Remember when the guv took $30 million of the funds the feds returned to the state from the federal mortgage fraud settlement to "plug a hole"?
In any event good luck with the job interview,,
and Sandi good luck with the retirement,,,,enjoy!

Gee Jim - that non-curable chicken math doesn't hit until well into retirement . . . right??? Your frightening me.Marlene (guinea lady) called me last night.. she went all out of the chicken and guinea business last fall ? medical reasons.. well, she is going nuts.. has plans to order (she says a maximum of) 15 assorted chicks this spring.. right ,,, and oh yes,, 15 cornish/X too.. hmmm that sounds like 30 to me.. she is 77 years old.. see what the rest of you are in for ?? chicken math is non-curable ..
..........jiminwisc..........
We don't have near the birds as many on here, but ours have been chowing down pretty good too. Feeding them fermented crumble with free access to pellets has kept the feed costs down a bit. Plus they are getting a fair amount of "treat" laden scratch (spoiled birds!!) - and luckily no freeloading. My new girls are doing pretty darned good. Now Chester our lone roo, well yeah I guess you could say he's freeloading . . . but what the heck he seams to be keeping the girls happy (he thinks so anyway)
