Wow! Everyone must be busy today.

Not too much on the agenda here. DH is at band practice, so laundry, dishes, get the last of the lingering X-mas decorations put away and make a pot of HM chicken vegetable soup. It feels like a good day for soup. I'm thinking of skipping the noodles and going for barley this time. Or maybe wild rice. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions. Such an exciting life I lead.

Got 6 eggs yesterday. Whoo-hoo! Now isn't that exciting?

Sunny Day Here....I would add a little rice, a little barley, and a few noodles...that way you get the best variety. We are gonna have stuffed cabbage tonight. Almost made chili, but the stuffed cabbage got the nod today.

Just think, more of the arctic vortex comin...now, that's gonna suck again.

I can't wait till Spring. Working outside is more fun than sittin around IMO!

Hi all--just got back from work and I am having a glass of wine! Then I need to go out and do chores. DH got invited to the basketball game tonight by our son

I think he probably wants him to buy dinner...
I took Tommy the famous roo to work with me today. Anna LOVED him! You should have heard her giggling when he came out of the kennel...I thought she was going to pee herself! He had enough meal worms, peanuts and sunflower seeds to last him all week! Right now he is crowing up a storm--I guess cause he was silent all morning?

Well, I guess I oughta head out and feed the rest of the critters...I only did the horses and goats before I left this morning!

Hi Zeke..

always nice to see you..

I am tired of shoveling..Tired of winter..
I am getting almost a dozen eggs a day to help me feel better anyway..
I fired up the incubator..I will probably start setting in a few days..

I am not sure my Blue Laced Reds are fertile or not. I never see him breed. I have just been collecting.
Same with the Silver Laced..I guess time will tell.

kind of quiet here today..

roosters will start breeding better when they can feel the sun on their backs.. there will be much more crowing going on then, too.

I started Ollie up and made a pass up and down the driveway and cleaned out at the mailbox again; just because I could..
tomorrow it is supposed to be warmish,, then I will give the yard a good scraping ...
the padded tractor seat was frozen hard, so I took it off and brought it into the house to soften it up a bit ..

no puppies yet. I don[t stand too close to Dora, because if she explodes, I don't want to get spattered ..

Had pork tenderloin roast, mashed potatoes & gravy, creamed corn from the garden and some of those pears I canned last fall.. choco chip cookies for dessert ...

Someday I will remember I am no longer 16 and I cannot do all of the things I used to do when I was a kid....... I decided to partake in the roller rink race. They divided everyone up by age so all the little kids raced, then they had all the 15 and up group go (which consisted of 4 people) yeah, at one point my skates were going faster than my butt...... epic wipeout! Lucky me, my friend was there recording the whole thing and posted it up on FB. Even though I made sure I landed on my derriere, I still put my dang arm out to brace myself like a dummy. Right now, my right arm is a mess, I have a broken blood vessel in my wrist and who knows what done to my elbow. Soft tissue damage is always so much fun! I iced the elbow when I came home but right now that arm is weak and I have difficulty bending it completely due to swelling. I do not think I broke any bones ( I did not hear anything pop or crack). DH told me that I should give up on the idea of Roller Derby

Other than the last 5 minutes, the rest of the time slating was a blast! I had a great time!!!!

Well I brought home my new van today. I got a great bargain too. Went to Kenosha Honda, but they weren't willing to come down to what I was willing to pay. So I headed to Gurnee Honda and they came down to what I had to offer. So I am the proud owner of my very first brand new car!

Congrats on the new ride CS! Very cool.
I made some delicious potato soup for dinner. DH was out for pizza but still had to have 2 big bowls when he got home! The recipe called for an additional cup and a half of cheese and the same of sour cream...after I tasted it I am glad I ddnt add them! Very rich!
