I have a Blazer now,, tranny trouble.. I am leaning toward the 97 Blazer.. I had Jeep Wagoneers and Cherokee years ago.. they were notorious for front Universal joints breaking.. I replaced 3 sets of them .. these were 1985 era .. also those were full time 4WD..I ran out of gas on an icy road one time.. did a 360* because everything stopped when the motor stopped..Cind, that happened in the town I went to HS in. The Liquor store caught fire due to faulty wiring, and of course right next door was the vets office. So much flammable material in one area, I believe downtown lost 7 buildings. The miraculous part was all of those businesses had apartments above them, and nobody was killed. Downtown looks a little odd with a newer strip mall type building in place of the old, on the bright side they did not leave a giant hole in the landscape.
Nice to see you pop in Jim, the DH would tell you to take the Blazer and skip the Jeep. Our Cherokee Sport has has electrical issues, and it is a 2002.
Kids are off at Post Prom party so mom will be up for a bit yet.
I had a plow on the Cherokee,, loved it.. could turn on a dime.. and visibility was good for backing up..
I had a Dodge with electrical problems.. cost $800.oo to clear it all up.. the guy who had it before me spent $400,oo on the electrical, too.. Dodges were loaded with inline fuses.. the fix was cheap, diagnostic and tracing circuits was the costly part ..
I think I will keep my '95 blazer around for awhile,, It has a new motor and a whole new front end on it.. maybe the parts are interchangeable .. just in case I need them,,
As long as I would have the parts, then I would probably never need them,, cheap insurance..
