Busy here with the snow going away...plenty of spring clean-up here. The birds are in heaven being able to free range again. The way it's ment to be!

I got babies this year, but no adults until next year. Then I will be hatching Welsummer babies.

Yeah, that's the Petco I shop at. I need to get a few things there this weekend, so when exactly will you be there? I know this Saturday I plan on going to the swap meet and then running errands until the hockey game/Gavin Degraw concert.

I put a few Brahma eggs from Dan Powell lines in the incubator today. Last year I hatched some too. I ended up with a golden laced hen and a silver laced rooster. I didn't keep them. I probably won't keep these either. Unless I get a buff laced hen.

Jim, congrats on the "new" blazer. We used to have one and loved it. At least you'll have plenty of spare parts now.

I have been sick with a head cold/sinus issues since the weekend. I haven't been outside to enjoy the nice weather once.

I didn't drag my arse out of bed til after 2. It figures I'd get sick just as the nice weather hit.

Good evening everyone!
Had another 4 pages to catch up since I simply wasn't able to get on the last 2 days.

Our brown leghorns went into lockdown last night. Now we shall see how many of the 7 will hatch. Kinda hard to hear them pip with the dang wood stove blower being so loud though... They just need to hatch til this weekend, cause next Monday our saxony eggs will go in lockdown! Getting kinda overwhelming having 3 bators run. Lol.

Finally decided to put my one Rouen drake from last years hatch on CL. Not liking it much but it will probably make life a lot easier and relaxed for the others since he chases everyone around most of the time. Sigh.

Up here we also start slowly seeing more brown ground and mud than snow. And hopefully with a nearing rain end if this week we get rid of the rest and it can finally start to DRY! Would make staying on our drive way easier... Instead I'm all over the place, sinking and sliding. But my duckies love digging and dabbling in all the mud, and look it too! Hope I can get the kiddie pool thawed soon so they can bathe and swim again outside of the house.

Other than that just tired from all the running errands and appointments and looking forward to getting back (am in the "city" during the week) to see the new chicks and all my babies again. Miss them so much
