Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hi again

cs.... If you find some Welsummers let me know! I need a couple of hes/pullets for my boy.

CC...Hope you feel better and can get out soon. Back to 40's next week.

Most of the birds are enjoying being out at least in the morning. The rest aren't to sure about "outside" yet. I think a big part of it is all the roosters. They get locked up this week! Wish my other son would get that plucker done.

He wants to get his house done so they can move back in this summer, can't blame him.

Night All!

good morning all...I have 10 of 19 hatched on day 22, there is one that pipped yesterday, but it's still just sitting there and another that started to zip, but it's toes are out from one foot... is that bad? most of the eggs left are ones I questioned but being a first time Hatcher left in

J1980, sometimes they take a while to hatch, some will wait until day 24 so just hang in there.

Apparently it is Hef's b-day today. The ripe young age of 88.

Promises to be a beautiful day today! Highs in the 60's!

Back to coffee......

So this is interesting stuff. They just had this on the local radio station; any of you interested in keeping bees or who already have bees or just want to know the results check this article out. This grad student wanted to know the most painful area of the body to be stung, so he stung himself three times in 25 different locations on his body (nothing was excluded). The results are not quite what you expect.... but they do make sense.

Good morning everyone!

bl4-any news on the interview? how'd it go?

TO- what are your plans next Friday (good friday), the kids and I all have it off and I figured it would be a good day to come out your way!

Cind- someone said the Hens & Roos might have some. I haven't heard from her though.

Jim-did you get your new ride yet?

del-how's the pup doing?

gotta go get ready, be back later

CS, they sent my resume off to the potential employer. If they want me to come down for an interview I should hear from them in the next few days, I was told they would like to schedule interviews for the end of this week and early next week. So far no calls, but I am hopeful!

Blue Smoke - Welcome!!

Babylady - Good luck with getting an interview. Sending you good vibes that it will work out. Interesting study on bee stings.

If any of you hear when Terri O will be down in Waukesha at Petco... and everyone else that plans on stopping in, please let me know. If I can I would like to stop in and meet you!

I have a question for you all.... I plan on setting some OEs in my incubator tomorrow or Friday.. Do you think it would be easy to sell OE chicks but instead of for money do a swap for clean bales of straw (the small bale 3'x2' bales)? I despirately need straw and thought that might be a good exchange. I personally have never sold a chick (or hatching eggs for that matter), so not sure how much to even ask for them.
