Thanks. We called and he evidently "misinformed" about the ducks he got. He thought he supposedly has Anconas just to say that they're Swedish or magpie. Make up your mind and correct the already one month old ad stupid!

Got a question:
Found an ad on Craigslist of someone supposedly selling Anconas ducks for $10 in Phillips, WI. Anyone have any experience with the seller/breeder or heard anything of him? Just wondering if I should go for it since we would really like to get a pair. He also listed quite a few chickens too. Haven't heard back from him since we emailed yesterday for pics and info

Yes to those who asked if I was lonesome for the puppy.. It is strange already to go out and not have him greet me..

Yes, I went up to Tomahawk this morning and picked up 24 guineas.. and no, your chance of getting hens right now are mighty slim..
it is a good thing I don't need the lean-to for puppies any more.. the guineas fit in there just perfectly ..

I have a lot of roosters I would sell, though ..

as a flock, these are very tame guineas.. I even picked up one of the hens,, the lady who had them said that she picked them up a lot..

she would fit right into this group.. I told her to look us up..

she raises everything, and eats nothing that she raises.. she blames it on her husband, says that he cannot kill anything.. he says if he killed it, she wouldn't eat it anyhow..
sound familiar to anyone ? no comment needed , just asking ..

Kendra, don't let that puppy sucker you .. remember who is the boss.. I can see that with your crew, training him is going to be a challenge.. but if he is smart as his daddy, he will know who he can con and who he cannot ..

TO... long time no see! The last thing I need right now is more roosters! LOL

Jim... If you figure out hens an roos of those guineas, I would like a hen or 2. Right now I have 1 hen and about 8 males!

I'm pretty much in the same situation as you are with guineas. I have 11 and only 2 are female. The females tend to be the ones that wander off, build nests and get eaten. I was able to get a hold of one of my hens and I clipped her wings. She now has no choice but to stay in the protected area.

Here comes the rain again.... As if we don't already sink into enough mud! And they say more of the same tomorrow again. Great.

Anyways, 5 out of 6 ducklings hatched and most are fine. The one SO messed with (GRRRR) is still trying to get his feet working all the way but so far so good. Wanna get a line up pic of all of them later but it might present a slight challenge lol.

Jim, I'm the same way as that lady. I won't eat or kill anything that I raised and fed. It somehow won't work for me.

The ad owner pretty much had a case of mistaken duck breed. Said he don't have Anconas but Swedish. Not what I want, so not getting any. So why hasn't he changed his ad that's posted for an entire month now?! Dang it. Would have been too nice!

Nothing else going on but watching the new ducklings chase up and down the tub before passing out again. Although I was tempted to get another Pekin duckling earlier at L&M... Glad I didn't since they were a few days older than my guys. *sigh*

Easter Eve All...yep I can see that pretty mug Angiebubs..hope you make the bash again.

Took your lead bl4 and made burgers on the grill again...dang they are goodie.
We had a brindle boxer for years...she was the nicest dog....good watch dog and family pet.

Busy here till after the holiday.
