Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I am so jealous of everyone who made the bash..I love the bash and hated missing it..

I will think about hosting the fall bash..but I live so far south..one bathroom..partially functioning...I might need to take a plumbing class.

My condolences/sympathies to you and your family's on your loss's and illnesses.

Stacy..I hope your dog recovers. It would be difficult for me to make a decision to shoot a dog..
even if they were killing my chickens..I hope the law will help you recover some financial loss if you take him to the vet...

I miss everyone..I have not been well and I have not really read much..sorry if I missed posts.

Thanks for taking the birds for me to the bash Kendra.
No problem. They escaped once Friday evening as the sun started setting. We assume it was to find a roost. I put them into the carrier inside for the night. I didn't even know that they had escaped Saturday until reading bbp's post. She really must not have been feeling well as she was around for the auction and elephant and then gone.

BBP- thanks for the plants and sorry I didn't get to say bye. I hope you are feeling better.

Rainel-I hope your little one is better! I know her name starts with an L but I can't remember her whole name.

Cind- I hope you feel better soon. I already tried the green goop. I was trimming Theo's nails and he got me with one of the freshly cut ones.

Jim- that pup (which our kids now think should be named ANA which stands for anonymous) is a 1/4 of Theo's size.

Bigz-thanks for everything and let me know how much we owe for the window!

Amy- did your spring form pan and accessories make it home this year? Give those kiddos hugs for us!

It was great to meet Gary & Connie and sorry more of you couldn't come

Welcome newbies.

Our trip home was uneventful. The kids and I pretty much slept the whole way and we all went to bed early.

so much for peace and quiet,, Pang's eggs are starting to hatch, right on schedule.. I just transferred them into the hatcher.. 7 are already out and running around in bator #1..

have 10 keets in a box waiting for the guy to get here from Merrill.. if he is a no show, I will call the next guy on the list.. then the next , and the next , etc ..

puppy girl got a lesson on not pooping on the tile floor.. I think she remembered it because when I went outside a few minutes ago and walked toward her, she kept backing up away from me..

A fall bash would be great! I'm so bummed that I missed this one.

Porta Potties?

This is what my Riley looks like when he's happily chasing chickens! (No, I didn't take this pic as I was too busy trying to catch the puppy!) He wants to play with the chickaroos so badly that he is constantly finding a new way out of the yard. The last time he was out he chased down Eleanor Rigby until she tired and hunkered down. Riley tried to nudge her and cried because she wouldn't play with him. The only way to catch him out in the open is to wait until a chicken gets tired - much easier to catch if he runs into the coop. The pup is going to give me gray hair!

I definitely have a broody hen with quite a large clutch of eggs under her. Pearl is the smallest and at the bottom of the pecking order. I try to place food and water near her but she is so nervous and flighty that she runs away screeching when I get close enough. But shes back on the nest as soon as I move away. What fun it will be to have some little peepers!

BigFam held a Fall Bash once; she is in the Dells area of the state....

Angie, if we held the bash in Wausau it might be more centrally located in the state, Clintonville is not that far off from that though.

Glad everyone made it home safe, I think everyone had napping on their minds yesterday! Thank you CS for bringing your kids, I wish I had gotten a chance to ask them about the STEP program. I am glad they kept my kids busy! It was very nice to meet you MomG and your DH, glad you enjoyed yourselves!

Cind, glad to hear you are ok, you had us worried.

The cats really missed us, they have been glued to me all day.

Nothing going on here, vegging out in recovery mode. :D

Oh joy, now there is a chick in bator #2 also.. I have to clear out the chick tv so as to not mix mine with whose ever these are ?? might be some more of mine, though,, I tried to not put other's eggs into bator #2..

the people from Merrill were here and left with 10 keets.. they said they were hard to find this year .. maybe I should raise my price ??

Cind, glad to hear you are not seriously injured ..
good thing you are so short, not so far to fall..

.......jiminwisc.......

egg transferring is done.. 96 of Pang's and 48 of mine in the hatcher.. 9 in the chick tv

Pang's are always so tiny.. IDK what kinds of chickens she has..
I do know she has a variety.. prolly lets bantam roosters with any sized hen..
