Is anyone from western WI going to the Fall Creek show next weekend? (I have someone that would take one of my cockerels but no way to get it there as Chickenship planned a surprise 4 day weekend trip for me for next weekend.)

Thanks Angie and Delish. Do I have to tell them the test I want or will they do a basic screen for things? I have to tell them, what should I ask for? I haven't culled yet because I wanted to know where to ship them first. DH gets in meds. in exactly what I need to ship them in so I guess I'll do it very soon. Our printer isn't working, will UPS print the label for me?

Birdman..... Splayed legs (doing the splits) curled toes, spread wing, very weak, very little control of body. Young birds.

Wish I had good news too. Well, I'm almost done with the quill order. Maybe I'll get a pic. of this batch.

after you send in the bird, you will get an email with the Dr.'s Name on it. Call the number on the paper. Give them the history of your flock and any dead birds signs like..flopping over..high temp..will not eat..etc
Just call them..they will tell you what to do. Keep the dead bird in a baggy in the fridge till you drop it off. You can drive to the Lab and drop it off. If you want to ship you need a working printer.

Dora is not back .. looking pretty less hopeful.
On a bright note.. we got a call from the lady who we bought our pup from last spring.. someone that got a female pup from her almost 2 years ago called her,, they can't keep the dog.. It and their GP fight all the time ferociously .. so she called us and asked if we would want to take her..

I picked the pup up today,, she is such a sweetheart.. Gus took to her right away..
they played like two little puppies, and when I checked on them a little later on, they were lying side by each sleeping in the rain.. Next to the coop ..

I talked to Zeke tonight,, he is doing well,, busy as usual..
doesn't have the net service back yet..

Evening everyone. Yes, I'm still kicking but that won't help much.

Got back home today and took care of the black/brown duckies. They were loving it in their pens again! Of course later everyone had a fun time in the new (formerly snow melt) lake. Yes, from all the rain out lame came back. At least that way the ducks and geese have a nice place to dabble and dig and clean off where we don't have to clean up after them!

High winds all day today here, most of the day around 30mph and some more rain this morning. And all this at a whopping high of 46F today! Brrrr.... Just turned on the stove to warm up some.

Then I saw that about half an hour after I got back a nice big pappel came down and holding itself up on the cab of the brats 2 yr old truck. Oops! Been busy trying to cut that thing down all afternoon, after replacing the freaking fuel line on the dang chainsaw! Then pulled the truck away and inspected the damage. Roof of the cab portion is scraped and dented in for a good inch, getting the tips of the cab and passenger door too. But everything works and closes just fine. Yeay! So the brat will be home this weekend. Hope he didn't poop too many bricks after telling him as he is out OTR in the south driving right now.

Oki, gotta check the fogging up stove and do house chores now. Fun oh fun, where have you gone...?

Well, it appears that there has been sad news since I was last on here: ILT, Marek's, no Dora, and TO's dad passing. so sorry to hear all the bad news!

Not much new here: kids have started soccer and school, Alice had small tail feathers now

, Theo is 8mos old and huge, and everything else is the same.
