Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hi everyone I was wondering if any of you know what papers/license I would need to start a poultry swap here in stoughton WI. I'm planning on doing this the summer of 2015 because I just don't have time to drive 3 hours to the closest swap so why not bring it to me and all my friends? Lol so if anyone knows anything that could help me I would appreciate it so much!!!

Hi my fellow Wisconsin duck lovers. I'm new to owning ducks. I fell into it accidentally :) I have 2 14 week drake mallards and one 14 week old blue swede mutt duck. I believe that I need more ducks to keep my girl safe. Any ideas how to find ducks to add to my flock? The boys are such characters I don't want to part with them. Just this week they started knocking on the front door! They all hang out on my front deck most of the day. ..it's so cute!

There is someone on this thread desperately trying to rehome some ducks that she hatched this year. Not sure how far apart you guys are, but it may be something to look into.

Is it Wild Sam?

Lol. Thanks BBP. yes that would be me, but I pretty much got the same problem. Too many males!

And welcome Fuxzi. I got tons of ducks in general, but as said I need to get rid of drakes, not the ducks. Lol. And I totally agree, they are characters!!! Just as long as you can keep distance between them you shouldn't have a problem with the boys.

Other than that, check FB, Craigslist and your local papers for people that sell or need to downsize. Or put out your own ad. Never hurts!

Good evening

Cuties I will not be able to pick up the BCM roo anytime soon. A crazy fall for construction ( after long winter....we needed this fall to be great )
and I'm booked through October. If you can find a home do so.....or outfit him in some blaze orange & I'll see ya in Nov.

Thanks @BlackBrookPoultry and @wildsam I will check craigslist and the papers around here. If you do hear of anyone looking to rehome a duck or 3 send them my way! :)

craigslist is always having ducks for sale,, that is until you want some..

I just sold 38 chickens, 30 guineas and a saw rig through craigslist this week..

Hi guys!
Liz, welcome and good luck on your search for duckies!
TerriO always has docks for sale. She is near Lake Mills. She is not often on as she has been super busy. But just lmk if you would be interested. And I'll get you in touch. They are mostly the muscovy ducks.
kildare, it is no problem. I ha e not advertised him.nand rather like him. We will work it out.

@cuties I would be interested in getting in touch with TerriO. She can email me at [email protected] Do Muscovy ducks have special needs different from mallards and swedes? I remember that their incubation time is shorter, but do they have any other special environment or feed needs?
