Kendra,

Good luck with your Dad.

Are you taking him walking because he is killing chickens or trying? They need a good two years to stop that stuff everyone says on the LGD group. They are stull puppies. Cookie is fine when she has her collar on. She wares it during the day when chickens are out. When the chickens go to bed we take it off. I like the collar.

Getting the coops ready for winter..one down, two to go.

Stacy..nice job on the coop..

Cuties,

nice chicks..and umm..nice dragon?

Hi All!

Adam didn't see the coyote, the neighbors were still partying. He did put a motion sensor light on the back side of the coop though. That should help at least some. I left a message on FB for the first trapper that wanted to take a crack at it.

We had a bearded dragon for about 8 years.

Night All!

Cool pets... I am laid up for a few days with a badly sprained ankle. A friend and I took 8 kids,to Yellowstone lake state park on Friday when they didn't have school. We were there hiking for three hours and playing and leaf etching etc...upon leaving, my foot found a rodent hole and over I went... So crutches and air cast for a week or two. Trying to get family to help with all I do and a new puppy is a pain. All I hear is hubby yelling that he had an accident as I hobble around to put him outside...problem is he does not like to go out alone,,, sigh...we will get it figured out.

I am now the proud owner of a pair of GFF Swedish Flower Hens and 4 chicks along with a trio of Show line Light Brahmas to add to next years breeding stock. Also 2 dozen SFH hatching eggs. Photos to come when I get home.

CooL Everyone is getting fun stuff! Cuties...get some habitat for that dragon! reptiles are tricky with their needs for heat/cool and UVA/UVB lighting. My tortoise is in now and I have to get to the petshop to get another spectrum light for her...I guess they only work for about a year...they still light up bu no longer give out the correct amount of rays? Sounds like a scam to me! LOL!

I am heading out now to do some winter stuff. DH decided to listen to me that we couldnt afford to miss this day to go to my Mom's cottage and winterize it since there was so much to do here...so he is going disc golfing...yeah so much for any help I guess. Stacey I know exactly what you mean about learning to do it yourself!

OK--everyone have a great and productive day! TerriO

We just got 2 juvenile bearded dragons at work. 110 degrees in the basking spot, no sand or other substrate that they can swallow on the floor, reptisun 10.0 bulb for their UVB, 40 gallon tank minimum. Dust the crickets once a week with repivite. They should eat 20-50 crickets per day! I also have Fluker's Reptiboost on hand for when they aren't eating and need a little help nutritionally. Offer greens after a few months old. NO spinach, it's toxic. Kale is best. Then as they get older, they will eat other things. Like baby food. My brother has a huge one that they let run around the house sometimes. They are actually fairly easy to take care of. The initial investment in their lighting and housing is pretty large though. I think tortoises can be a little more sensitive diet wise. If you feed them wrong (most commercial tortoise feeds are not healthy) you're going to run into problems like deformed shells. My brother also has a sulcata tortoise. lol We had a 6 ft green iguana that roamed the house when we were kids and I used to have carpet chameleons. I actually got them to breed, but then did nothing with the eggs once she layed them. I would love to get into raising them again. We have crested geckos now, but the female hasn't layed any eggs.
