Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Jim, I would like to know that remedy. Maybe Blake could use it for Brownie when he acts up toward him.
Bbp, I am rather happy ours are gentle. But I do feel it is making the kids so they will not act properly around other horses. They walk under Thunder. And behind him. And have no fear. I have to constantly remind them that anything can happen. And that they are big and can still hurtthem. Even if on aaccident.

Busy Day Here Today.... Cut and split wood for a couple hours, then I stacked the greenstuff and threw the dry in the basement. Put the plastic around the one pen I always do...I think they will like that with the weather that's coming.

Then up on the roof to clean the chimney....be needin a fire soon I'm thinkin. I still need to clean the pipes on the stove to the wall yet...

Then hunting for a couple hours.....it was nice to come home to brats and kraut in the oven with fresh boiled reds, and ho-made corn bread.

Yep, kildare...some hens just seem to be that way....maybe it's cause they drink more water than they need, or they just seem to have a fast system, and never have the normal black and white firm (#3's)...stools.

Tough day of fishing or hunting, is better than any day at work...

Of course I warned the lady that the horse kicked and bit. He was also buddy sour. She was the third person to come look at him. I wouldn't sell him to the first two, they only wanted him fir his looks. He would have hurt them for sure. A 16.3HH beast is nothing to mess with. He had his good points. Gentle with the kids, sweet to the filly, no spook. But I just can't get over the whole rearing up thing. I told her that he wasn't doing that here and he would have gotten a bullet before I would have sold him, had I thought he was dangerous.

Bbp, mYbe they just pushed him beyond his comfort level. When training the dogs I see it quite often. A dominant but manageable dog. And then I teach kids things like putti g their hand under the belly to get them to stand. Many people are very surprised when the dog will growl or nop. But that dog has never before been asked to do something out of its comfort zone. And in a new place.
Hopefully he will get used to new and different things.
Have to work late tonight :/ at least tomorrow is off.

The traveling roosters came through the wifes business again.

She did her best at getting some pics of the proud roosters & diapers!

If I can figure out how to post emailed pics on here I will post them.

Chilly Halloween, and Fish Fry Friday. Dang that was chilly hunting today.

I think everyone is after the free door to door candy...

just finished taking the two DS's trick or treating( DD did dress up and come along with me as DH had to go into town and fix a couple of items at several rentals-1st year since we started taking the kids out that DH didn't make it

).......not a lot of people out and not a lot of housing giving out candy compared to the last few years....that's okay they still got plenty.

Now sitting and sorting the candy and having hot chocolate....brrrr....

tomorrow afternoon we are letting the kids have a few friends over and having a bon-fire, s'mores etc. Hopefully it won't be windy, otherwise we will have to go to our back up plan.

now to go relax and watch tv for a while.

that snow this morning was as fun as all the wind. The portable garage I put up ended in the neighbors yard. I am glad I did not have chickens in it yet. They would have had a nasty trip for sure. I hope everyone kept buckled down for the day.
