Well BBP-that is one of my pet peeves too...but I must confess that I didnt notice it in your post...unless you went and corrected it!Just to clarify, I didn't proofread my post. I do know how to spell cochin. And one of my pet peeves is when breeders don't know how to spell the name of the animal they are selling. I'm a little embarrassed that that slipped by me.
OH NO! I just LOVE my tortoises...but they are Russians so maybe different? As soon as the lights come on Rita is at the edge of her kennel looking for breakfast. Wants a shell rub and a chin scratch too. I think they are fantastic pets! Sulcatas get very big though. How big is the one that you have? I would like to have one too but #300 is a bit much...and NO JIM, you cant turn them loose because they cannot survive here as Sulcatas do not hibernate (like my Russians). If she wanted to turn him loose she would have to travel to AZ or someplace like that...and even then--it was probably captive bred and that is just not a solution!Hey, did I tell you guys that I took my brother's Sulcata Tortoise home? What a boring pet. He's cute and all, but I feel bad for him. He should be in the desert where he belongs . . .
I feel the same way Cuties...I am having a few extra here on Christmas morning (not Drhaha this year though!) DD has a new beau and my Aunt is bringing Mom. I have changed up our menu too and we are serving Mimosas this year! (YUM) Then maybe folks wont see the mess that I have no time to clean! LOL...I will try a little but you all know I wont get any help...Aw Jim, I always host these things at our place. It is a lot of work. But I wouldn't give it up for the world. I love that it is warm busy and loud when we are all together.
To me there is absolutely nothing better.
By the end of the day I am always beat. And can not believe the mess in my home where I had just spent days to make everything clean and perfect.
But my cheeks hurt from smiling. And I am content.
So goodnight and Merry Christmas a bit early! TerriO
