Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Off to do taxes today - ugh! That whole process could be a whole lot simpler. Just get rid of the whole thing and go with earnings times % for everyone except those under the poverty level.

We're turning the lamp on for the chickaroos one more time (hopefully!) tonight. I'm ready to retire that and the heated waterer for the season!

ours was finished last week,, we are having them direct deposit the refund,, you get it in less than a week that way,, otherwise a check in the mail takes a few weeks, usually ..

Never had soup...We usually parboil, then deep fry.
Seriously though, I have a veterinary friend who keeps tortoises.

I haven't found a home for him yet. I enjoy having him around (even though he's pretty boring), just don't know what I would do with him once he's full size. My brother bought him at a reptile show last spring for $100 when he was super tiny. But when his son went to the hospital and they were told it would be weeks before he got out, he asked me to take the tortoise. Then he had to take him off of life support. He's not sure what he's doing with his life at this point, but a tortoise doesn't fit into it. Let me know if they have any interest and where they are located.

Hi, All! I am new to Wisconsin and would like to make contact with locals who sell hatching eggs, specifically Orps, Ameraucanas and Marans. I am tired of getting "scrambled" eggs in the mail and hope to minimize that by picking up or at the very least by a shorter transit time if shipped. I am in NE Wisconsin (near Marinette).

Thanks in advance! I look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to the group. This is a bunch of great people! I have English Orpingtons. They are laying well.

Hello Fellow Wisconsinites! I'm a newbie - don't even have my girls yet. I've spent countless hours on BYC learning everything I can! I love to hear about peoples actual experience, what worked, what didn't.
welcome to the group! Everyone does it different. If you want to take a trip come on over and look at the set up here.
I will not have it long so you need to come in the next few months.
Good evening and welcome to all of the newbies and welcome back to a few that have been absent for a bit!!!!

I am so glad life with you is going well..
I had one surgery last Tuesday and one more to go. They have not scheduled my second one yet. I think they are waiting for me to forget how horrible the last one was...(fat chance)

With everyone talking about getting spring birds/hatching eggs, does someone on here have Buckeyes?
I have been looking at breeds and need to get something started for a coop.
DH even has a some co-workers who are looking to buy farm fresh eggs...
I have Buckeyes and I m selling them if you are interested. They are really nice birds. They placed well at Ohio Nationals. They just started to lay. I have two pullets and one cockerel. The cockerel placed 3rd out of over 20 males, but he is a little hocky. Beautiful color, great body.

I paid $125 and will let them go for the same to anyone who wants them.
Afternoon...nice and sunny here today. Fired to stove after church and with the sunshine coming in the windows, it's 78 and prolly gonna get a little warmer than that. It beats being cold for sure!

Yep, I have Buckeyes and so does delisha. Mine are just starting to lay again, and when it picks up a little more, I'll be collecting for hatching. I'm not sure what delish decided to do with her birds. She might have something available now.
I need some young birds added to my flock, with the youngest birds here already 2 years old, it's time for more.

bigz

I am selling mine..
