It takes some doing, but they can be trained to hang around,,

you have to keep them locked in a pen for a couple of weeks,, and then do not let all of them loose at the same time,,

to start with, let a couple of them loose at just when it is getting dark.. it helps to have a light on in the coop.. the loose ones should go back in by the main flock..

let's get the birds first, then we will worry about training them,,

Sorry to hear bout Ur duckies bl4! I know it would make me angry to find any of my birds killed like that. And when you're ready for new duckies, or hatching eggs, you can always let me know...!

Thanks everyone, of all my kids the oldest took it hard...... and of course mom did too.

We are trying to figure out what to do with the carcasses..... the DH wants to burn them but I would like to not know about it. Yuck.


Did not win the big bucks so back to the job hunt drawing board.
