Extra Nasty Day to everyone. Ash Wednesday today was about as cold as I remember ever. Made the noon service...no way you will get me out after dark in this weather. The sun helped a little bit for sure.

Nice doggie pics.

Broke another bale of straw for the coops today. I know the birds are liking that for sure.

Annie made some rolls and ho-made chicken noodle soup.. I won't have to eat anything until about Friday..

the 3 pups were in and out all day,, right now they are in and sleeping.. just like little kids, playing outdoors in the cold air sure takes the pep out of them,,

I have one who is just like Gus,, when he lays down, he has to be touching me,,
I must look like a security blanket ..

Work on the tractor/coop was stalled yesterday, due to the fact that I could not find a single one of my three drills. So I tore apart my sty I mean house searching through various piles and boxes and sacks.

Never found any of my drills, but I did find a sack of goodies I cleared out of my Dad's workshop when he passed. Lo and behold, the sack contained a no-frills but functional drill. And--(I LOVE MY DAD) there was a chuck key attached to the drill's cord, so that I don't have to haul the drill to a hardware store and try 753 different keys to find the right one.

So maybe I'll get the coop built someday after all . . .

I'm planning to poke my nose in at the Jefferson swap on Saturday. Likely won't be buying anything, but just gotta see what happens at one o' these swaps. Keep your eyes peeled for the tallest dumpiest middle-aged broad with the messiest hair, that's mophead me.
