Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good afternoon,,

I am taking a break,, was working in the shop making a table saw sled,, had to come in for some glue and decided I was tired and hungry ,,

those of you going to the Fondy swap..

there will be a man there selling laying hens,, the hens are supposed to be about 14 months old..
the man is from just east of Plover..

take a good look at those chickens and let me know what you think of them,,

I think this guy gets his chickens from an egg laying facility .. they keep the chickens for the first year and then get rid of them,,

I do not know this as a fact, just a gut feeling ..

see what you can find out about them,,

ho-made dinner roles and a cold pasta/ham salad coming up ..

Down in IL for the big wedding, heading into Chicago tomorrow.

My cousin is letting us use her house, and since she and her hubby are celebrating 14 years together on Tuesday I thought I would leave them a little present.

Will try to post pics of all of us in all our finery at some point. Not every day you attend a wedding in Chicago!

Enjoy the swap! Sorry I am missing it!

Baby is here! A daughter after 3 boys! Emma Jane, 8#, 20", born at home on Mar 11. She and I are doing great, my mom is here taking care of us all. Enjoying our babymoon.

I missed the board meeting on the poultry ordinance (I was in labor!) but good news: pretty much everything was stripped out and they'll come back to a watered diwn version later. So roosters ok, any size coop ok, duplexes ok, egg signs ok, and no fees. Hoorah! Julie said the town hall was packed! Hee hee!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a sweetheart!!

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to you and your family.

So, I posted on FB that our son learned the value of money=food=shut the **** lid on the chicken food via cleaning out the coop. His grandma (DH ex mother in law) came back asking if I had him wear gloves, mask, and shoe booties to protect him from histoplasmosis and hasta virus.***? I burst out laughing!!!!!! Uh no. He had a shovel, shoes, and a bucket. Five bucks she and her daughter have talked about this and DH and I will hear about the dangers of airborne fungus from bird droppings, rodents, etc. and that we shouldn't endanger our childrens lives by having them cleaning out the coop!

Chickens are finally laying again

Need to continue the poop and scoop from dogs from the winter and cleaning out the coop. Not much else is new around here. Trying to do some spring cleaning and painting
