Nice pics, cuties!

@irishrovr I have had rabbits for as long as I can remember; we got our family's first when I was in fifth grade and have had them straight through. My two are in the living room as we speak

I have had plenty of experiences with care, disease, etc., so let me know if you need help! Mine are pets, though- don't know if yours are more like livestock. I'd be more than willing to share advice. (edit: misread your post, thought you said you hadn't raised rabbits before, but I'm still willing to give advice if you- or anyone- needs rabbit advice!)

Tough Packer game today. Spent yesterday fishing though, had bass and pumpkinseed fish pan fried for dinner last night! Hubby was happy because I helped clean them.

Aw, thanks @dustergrl! It's been awhile since I raised a whole mess of them. Since then just a few while Cate was little.

Hi guys!
To, what about Wednesday? I will call to see if we can borrow the trailer if you are ok with us bringing the horses. They tie very well :)
We are working on downsizing for winter :/ hate this time of uear! We are selling 7 call ducks. And I also have some of the baby buns left.
Sorry that I am no expert in poo. I did think something was wrong with our chickies once. They looked like they had blood. But it was just an overload of watermelon ;)

Cs, we also did the get ready for winter clean here. Feels good when it is all done!

One of my favorite baby buns ♡

Well, my chickens have been screaming spontaneously for the past 3 days or so. I figured out the reason why when I saw my roo grab a pullet by the neck!

My little man is growing up! Poor pullets, they don't get it yet... everyone is about 15 weeks.

Woah! I must have a lazy roo-my RIR, one of which is a roo, is 20 weeks and is doing nothing. Guess he just hasn't grown up yet.

good evening ,

firstchik, I read all the posts.. I don't know about chicken poop.. my chickens poop all over creation and I don't bother checking up on them,,

I do know that each poop can change according to what they eat and drink.. just like all living creatures..

I also do not have any advice about the soft tummy.. again, I don't hardly ever pick up a chicken ,
and I never picked one up to check how soft it's belly was..

I do not doctor my chickens.. I am not a vet.. If one appears to be sickly, we put it into a cage and hope it lasts long enough to make it to butchering day ..

Terri,, my vote is mice or thirteen stripped gophers ..

.......jiminwisc..........
Well Jim, I have been giving them alot of table/garden scraps last couple of days, and she does appear right fine today.....so I guess she is ok to go back in the big coop with the rest of the girls.

Another harvest busy day here all day....I would think that a honest days work should only be one day and not a bunch of them in a row...but I love this time of year, and I created the gardens that keep on giving...I'd hate to have to deal with the short growing season to the North of here....kudos to you for dealing with that the best you can.

Yep I'm glad you can post pics again cuties.....love the light brahma pics...

Keep having fun..bigz

Nice pictures, Cuties!!

Jordy Nelson - say it ain't so!!! Tough one is right, BigZ!

On Friday We'll be getting some new critter boarders - rabbits and quail. A friend's cousin, a disabled vet, can no longer live at his home and needs to re-home himself and his critters. Right now he is in rehab at a local nursing home and his cousin has all of his livestock. We worked out an arrangement where he can come over and tend to his babies whenever he is able and I will do it when he cannot. After we worked out where his critters will reside he mentioned that I had room for his bees also. I'll sell his honey for him in the store. It should get pretty interesting around here. John is quite a colorful fellow to say the least. It's a pleasure to be able to help him out.

I've raised rabbits before but not quail or bees so I'm about to learn a lot. (Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?)

I had to say "no" to the ducks and geese, - hey, I'm not CRAZY! - and his cousin is holding onto the chickens for him. He's looking for a ground floor apartment nearby for when he gets released from rehab.

Wish us luck!
Irish I see the biggest heart! God Bless that there are people like you in the world!
