Nasty cold wind here today...days are getting longer, have you noticed?

Combs with frostbite can be treated with Vaseline....just smear a nice coating on and repeat when necessary. It helps protect and heal from the cold.

Be nice when the break in the weather comes later in the week.

Fresh set of Bobcat tracks through the backyard this morning....didn't find anything here to eat with everyone locked up and secure.

Hi all,

I just got done watering the chickens.. the water freezes, but it seemed almost balmy in the coop with the door closed and lots of sunshine coming in the large windows..

Annie left the door open late on Sunday afternoon to allow the "buzzards" to go into the coop.. they did and made no effort to go out when I had the door open today..

made an appt for the pu truck to go to the auto Dr.
having serpentine belt trouble.. It keeps jumping off of one of the pulleys .. either bad belt, or one of the pulleys is not turning properly .. too cold to do anything about it until Friday .
Had beer bread toast with my eggs today,, wonderful bread..

Does anyone know what swaps are on the calendar for 2016? The only one I've been able to find so far is Neillsville on May 14th.

According to the website neilsville will have no poultry. Bummer

Just heard Walworth Co Swap will be April 9 - word is they are planning to have poultry at this one. Things could always change between now and then!

thanks, I thought it was a long way,, I went to Beaver Dam once,, too far for me to go, to come home empty handed , again .
Waupaca is about my limit, and I went to Neilsville a few times.. but only if I go with somebody,,
My friend Brian and I used to go, but he is in poor health and can't make the trip anymore..

I really don't need anything anyhow.. can't cut back if I keep buying..

Never been to a swap meet like you guys are talking about. I am SW Wisconsin. Anyone know of a swap down here? What kind of prices do chicks and chickens go for at one?
