Beautiful Cheesehead Weather Today.....yep, today was perfect for getting stuff done! I was busy outside all day till now.....gotta come inside to eat those grilled venzun burgers that are super duper goodie.

Good job on the CC permit...I've had one from the start and will need to renew next year ( been 5 years already ) and couldn't agree more about the classes for responsible carry...it's the only way to carry....

good morning,

I think I will get the lid for the feeder finished today,

and then I think I will clean out all 10 nest boxes and rework them a little, they are meant to slide out for cleaning, but I made them a little too tight. they come out, but they stick a little too much, a couple of rides through the table saw should fix that.

Now I have a ton of red pine shavings to refill them with. thanks to all the planing I did building the feeder.

I'm still on the fence about the bash. Last time I drove home too late and I have double vision in the dark. The eye doctor says it's the muscles in my eyes unable to focus when there's not enough visual stimulation. I almost had to stop and get a hotel room for the night. I guess if I go I'll just have to be sure to leave before 3 pm.

I just can't drive at night, period ..
right now, I have to close one eye to read these posts.
My eye Dr just skirts the issue when I complain about it.
He sort of takes the opinion of let's wait and see if it gets worse.. well, Dr.. it is ..

I got all the nests trimmed a little narrower so they slide out much easier.. and I have them all filled to the brim with fresh shavings.

Had to take time out to help Annie clean the cold intake on the wash machine, the screen was totally blocked with sand. of course, when you do plumbing on a weekend, things go awry .. both ends of the hose leak now because the rubber washers are about shot.. next trip to Menard's will have to pick up a package of them little rubber aholes ..

Another beautiful cheesehead day here. Dang it's good to hear from you angiebubs...hope both you and Yvette can make the annual get-together....never know for sure who will actually show up....Me and suzie hope everyone can come and enjoy the special once a year weekend....sleep over for Monday departure for bad eyes will be accepted too! None of us are getting younger eyes. Safe trips home are a must have!

Grilled a big thick ham steak tonight, and suzie made cheezy potatoes and toast for the side dish. Kinda feels like heaven here today...
