I can get almost unlimited sawdust. I am good friends with a guy who runs a sawmill for specialty woods and he hasn't sold sawdust in 20 years or more. It is almost more dirt than sawdust now and no weeds!!!! So what all should I be using it on??? Got a second truck load on the lawn today. Hubby is bringing me home one more load yet tonight and I will have his area covered.

Reading and typing, but here it goes....

It is raining here, yeah! all of the plants that I've put into the ground over the last week will love it.

Brent-me thinks morels would be a great auction item!!!!

Cind-I hope you get to feeling better so we can make your green goop together!!!!

bl4-are you going to cknstk?

Delisha-glad that you are going to cknstk!

If anyone has irises to get rid of that are not the pale purple AND are going to chickenstock,I'd love to take some off of your hands. Also, I'm interested in asparagus crowns and most perennials.

Anyone have ideas for apricot trees and preventing bugs on them?

Nite all

like I mentioned before, stockpile it..
when it is gone, you will wish you would have had more.

I get wood chips whenever I can. I used it to fill in a long nasty ditch along my driveway,, after a year or so, grass grew on it, and now I mow it with the rest of my lawn

use it for mulch, amend your soil for planting potatoes .

use it in the chicken coop for floor covering,

with the wood chips, I lay down a 6 inch layer in the coop in the fall and then spread my straw over it. the water seeps through the straw and it stays dry all winter.

good morning, went out for a cuppa this morning,

still raining softly . we really needed it.

can't work outside today, so I think I might just do some baking. ho-made dinner rolls sound good to me. then I can open a can of beans and have a sausage with them,

I added another goose egg to the bator this morning. that makes #3 from my goose. lockdown for it will be the end of June. I should have quail popping out within a week or so.

What is Chickenstock??? Where is it??? How do you tell an Iris from those other things that look like Iris but are more of a cup like flower? I have a cazillion somethings that are all yellow and planted all around the house. They are just forming buds. Would you want a ton of those?

Jim, it did not start raining by me untill 5:45. DS called and said to cover the garden with whatever we could find....so DIL and I took, tarps, cat litter box tops and totes......i told her if the world ended tonight and a 10000 years from now someone dug up our property they would wonder what kind of religion we followed. DS got home about 10 minutes after we finished and took everything off the garden.....all we got was one big clap of thunder and soft rain.

Hey anybody that wants to answer?

How big are ya'lls gardens.......I have a 15 x 30 and it does not seem big enough for all I wanted to plant....did not get corn, lettuce, beets, radish or carrots in.....I have 16 tom plants, probably 12 hot peppers and 4 red, yellow and bells. I also got, 2 cuke plants, 4 broccoli, 4 cauliflower, 1 watermelon and 2 cantaloupes.

Hello, I'm new to the forum. Well I have been lurking for years on other threads when I have chicken problems. Decided it was time to join. Thought I'd jump in with both feet.
