good evening,
checking in once more before going up to bed.

got the steering fixed on the lawn mower. just have to tighten 2 locking nuts and install a bearing retainer.

dentist visit went well..

going to sell about 6 hens tomorrow.
the Asian lady will eat them, I suppose..

I switched the hens to corn and oats.. doesn't seem to make any difference in the egg production..

I absolutely hate not having a set schedule........ stuck at work until 9:30 tonight, which means I was home by 10. Always nice to eat dinner at 10PM....... Looking forward to heading to Chicago this weekend for the IFT expo (Institute of Food Technologists).

My tomatoes are at a standstill........ some fruit but not a lot, and not getting very tall.

good morning,
took a full 11 minutes just to get on line ,, again ..

Not much happened here since I posted last.

hoping I can get the garden all tilled before it rains this afternoon.

and if I have time, I want to finish the final touches on the lawn mower and do some cutting

my tomatoes are starting to show a little progress, but you have to look real hard ..

................jiminwisc.........

tried submitting this 3 times, keep getting a "please wait" note.
I will probably end up losing this post and then you won't be reading this rant ...
ETA :
I tried submitting 10 times. then the computer locked up on me and I had to manually shut it off and restart.
did I ever mention, ? I hate it when the puter doesn't cooperate ....

tomatoes and green beans are producing like crazy this year. Broccolli got nibbled down..my guess are the asian beetles...chasing them off my grapes daily. Leeks and lettuce looking ok... peppers never seem to do wowwing things...get one or two each plant... carrots look goot and potatoes look good. Wish the cucs would grow, but they are not doing much this year... sigh..

Gotta cut a couple of the broccoli heads today before they flower. I'm going to let the next batch of beans get a bit big and then pickle them. Peas are about done for the year. Had our first batch of creamy cucumbers last night and they were delish. Going to try to get the garden tilled again for the weeds.

Late morning to everyone.....don't you at least have jowl bacon made bbp? I would always have that made when I bought a hog...it is really nice bacon.

Did some more weeding today like most days. The winter squash is really looking good so far. I'm hoping for cukes soon....I just love the fresh cukes plain or made with onions and vinegar and sugar for a great refreshing treat when ice cold and crispy.

Taking a break for now....hoping for more ambition than I have right now.
