Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good morning,

I thought I would beat the heat and do something outside early this morning, the heat is already there.

BUT, I did take the garbage out and then I took two nice scoops of wood chips and spread them at the outside south end of the green house.. that should keep the weeds at bay for awhile.
eventually I will be able to mow over it.

checking all the local stores for cheap grass seed.

Hi Cindy, poke a post in here every once in awhile...

Waddles was dead when I went to the coop this AM....was expecting it....her waddle and comb were looking kinda pale for the last few weeks. We buried her out back.

I'm new to BYC and was wondering if anyone raises bantams? My neighbor does and they're helping me chicken wise as much as they can. (I plan to raise some next year and show theirs this year). I was just wondering if anyone had bantams

Welcome to the cheeseheads! I don't, but others on here do.

Nothing works better than 5% sevin dust added to their dusting area....doesn't take very much, just a sprinkle across the top and then mix it in. I guarantee that if u do this once every month or so they will be gone for good.....nothing works better for all mites.

Good to hear from you Cind....hoping things get better for ya....cant keep a good girl down!

Tough to hear about the loss firstchick...it is definitely part of raising poultry, if you do it long enough.

Stay Cool...bigz

If you are looking for a specific breed of fowl, I would suggest attending the Poulty Show in Portage. They do sell a lot of birds there and many varieties.

Stuck working second today. Meh .....
