Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Almost ready to do yet another batch of pickles and pickled beans. One more picking should do it. Also picked 1 full and 1 half full (5 gal.) pail of tomatoes today. First large pick. I have also given away a couple dozen before now. Harvested my first head of cauliflower. Have to pick green peppers again soon. Got all 2 acres of lawn mowed today as well. Just a bit busy around here today. Just have to wash the dishes and clean the living room carpet before night fall. The pups will be 10 days old tomorrow and are doing great. 3 are getting so big and number 4 is holding at a whole 3 ounces.

First pic is 1 day old. Second one is a closeup of the runt.

Holy crap them are adorable. I love the runts. I might have just found a stud for my chocolate lab. I'm waiting on more details from their end. I just want a duplicate of my dog right now so bad. She's the best.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack..............................
Looks like the chicken site is now a puppy site!
Hi Cindy, glad to see you check in.
Sorry to hear about Waddles.
Welcome to the new HG chicken lover.
Picnics rock.
Bummed I missed out on the beans.
I think I caught up?

One full week of family is more than enough for anyone I imagine. Half in Nebraska, half in Iowa and we are very happy to be home. Oldest was left behind because of work and he managed the homestead pretty well, all the animals are alive. Hens must have gotten bored as they figured out how to stick claws in the feeders to scratch stuff out. I think if I elevate them a bit that may put an end to that nonsense. One of the kids bent down to pet the larger buff and she did the submissive squat so we had better get some egg boxes built asap. We figured we would be seeing this soon, they are 18 weeks today. New garden space looks pretty good, weeded the beets last night and the radishes and spinach that I planted before we left have emerged. I think not having regular water, the arugula may have fried, we will see if it comes back. 2.60 in the rain gauge when I emptied it, but oldest said we had a couple storms here while we were gone.

On another note, had a gal contact me this morning asking if I knew anyone who would be interested in a couple of Buff roos. She ordered 2 pullets so bad luck for her I guess.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
