Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Busy couple of days here. Yesterday I voted then had to go shopping then came home and prepped all the ingredients for bear stew. Pre-cooked the bear. Got homework done with the kids. Get up this morning and get the kids off to school, made an apple and a lemon meringue pie, finished making the stew. Had out of town company for lunch, cleaned up after that then had to run to school for parent teacher conferences. Glowing reports for both kids but had to wait forever to get in to see the teachers. Run back home and put together a relish tray and a salad and had guests for dinner. Tons of dishes. Worked on homework with the kids and almost time to get them to bed. Exhausted!!

Sounds delicious (and exhausting)! I helped at the Wednesday night supper at the church I attend where I chopped all the veggies for the salad. The main course was country style ribs in BBQ sauce with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. We had a good turnout. Next week is
American chop suey. Not my favorite meal...

Hey all! Been busy taking advantage of these beautiful fall days. A friend has been helping me trim trees & clean up some of our tree lines. I have been wanting to do this for years.

I've had my 7 hens since They were chicks about a year and half ago. 3 barred rock 3 RIR and 1 red star named Otto (I know, not a girl name). I've really enjoyed having them I've always peeked in to this thread whenever I was cruising the site and finally felt like joining in.

good morning,
I read the posts that I can.. the ones with tiny font went unread. sorry, since my eye surgery a couple of weeks ago, I lost some more vision.

I am planning on moving the grape roots today. UNLESS someone sidetracks me again..

Jim, I am looking forward to hearing how the grape vines turn out for you. I still want to get some grapes going here again but it will be a couple of years before I have things arranged well enough to do so. Had a rough night's sleep. Don't know if I was overtired or just still running in full gear from yesterday. I think it may be "take a nap once the kids are on the bus" day. Probably not though, always a lot more to do. Later.

thanks for the big print Dae,,

I planted way more grape scions than I need. according to the utube you are lucky if half take root.

I hate it when I wake up at 5 AM. it is too dark to go outside and do anything.. and lately it is too cold to go out before noon.. really cuts the daytime hours in half ..

Ken, our resident, ended up in the hospital yesterday.
he was on Aliquis for blood thinner. caused internal bleeding. could have died
He is still there.

I take naps during the day. not on purpose, I just find myself waking up every once in awhile..

I love what you did, Celtic Chick.

Jim, no problem I like to accommodate when I can.

I got my nap, now it's time to figure out what to do with my day. Gotta move the tractor again for sure. Not sure what else.
