Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hi Colomama,:frow:welcome I should know where that is..
thanks , those puppies are getting cuter each day
starting this weekend, some will be heading to their new homes.
they are 98% weaned. the only ones who suckle any more are the smart ones who found the hole under the fence before I blocked it ..

I was going to get an early start and work on tearing down the lean to, but those plans got quashed . now it is too hot. maybe wait for the shade to get to that spot and then try it.

hey BigZ, you don't have to get the flu to stay in bed. there are easier ways..

I hate not having the right tools for a job! I'm replacing some of the inner workings on a toilet. I get how to do it, it's pretty simple. But I've been struggling all afternoon trying to get a bolt off the bottom of the tank. I seem to have small wrenches, and a giant, heavy wrench with nothing in between. The beg wrench could work, but I'm not quite strong enough. :Gah:

tk10 I have the wrench you need.
I assume you are changing the overflow valve ?
remember righty tighty, lefty loosey.
and you are working upside down, so maybe rethink your strategy ..
a pair of slip jaw pliers might work..

it clouded up here and began to thunder.
I went out and took the last 3 metal roof panels off.

the rafters are in good shape. i might be able to re-use them..

Hey Jim, I went out and got a new adjustable wrench. Now I've got it loosened but the inside part keeps twisting too! I need 8 arms! I feel like I'm channeling my dad though, much cussing is happening lol

Hi new,:welcome
You are doing just fine.
some people will scare you half to death with advice about shots, vaccinations. and medications
if you made it 10 weeks without a hitch , you are pretty much in the clear.
just sit back and enjoy the chickens.

Thank you Jim! That reassurance is greatly appreciated! Just one more question about medications- should I be deworming my chickens at all or do you only do this if they show signs of illness? Thanks in advance!

:welcome Welcome to the new folks. We love sour cherries here...they make the best Cherrie pie.
Hard to believe that I've been in bed for 3 days with influenza. I've wearing insulated clothes in a house with no a/c...the chills and aches are no fun or the sore eyes and headaches. Slowly improving it seems like though.

So sorry to hear you are under the weather Z. Hope you are up and about again real soon :hugs
