What kind of grapes are you working on?
I threw some hops roots into the ground one year. The chickens thought the freshly dug dirt was a new dust bathing area for them. The hops never grew...
I'll be working on freezing sweet corn today.
these grapes are concord. I planted a double row many years ago. a piece of advice, plant just a single row. if you plant more than one row, keep them far apart so you can drive a full grown tractor between them..
the best way to propagate hops is with root cuttings. I think they are rhizomes .
my chickens thought my rhubarb patch was a good place to set up their dust bath.. they wiped out two well established plants..
this year my rhubarb wilted before I got even one pie ..
