Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Lol! She took her sweet time with her meal too. I took that picture around und 7:30 am, she was finally finished by 10. Beautiful spider, I do enjoy them as they are so beneficial.

Looks like my bees are tucked in. I did not see any of them scouting today. I did peek in the one entrance hole and spotted a guard, so I know they are still in there. I need to plug that hole soon too, so they only have the bottom entrance to guard.

Going to pick up cabbages tomorrow. This is a kraut canning year.

Yep, we were just talking about how much kraut to do this year. I have 3 large heads, but think I'll turn 2 into kraut and use one for Friday slaw every week till it's gone,it keeps quite a while in the fridge if you keep it wrapped well in plastic.
Pack is off to another awful start...don't look good.

Some shots from our woods..... we are so blessed to be here. ❤️

I am always here. I don't always post because my interests do not interest others so much.
Tuesday I was at the hospital from 6AM to 3PM
Annie was in heart surgery from 8AM to 10PM.
they disconnected the impulses from her upper heart to the lower heart. that operation has a name that I won't even attempt to type.
basically her heart will not ever pump on it's own again.. her pace maker does all the stimulation to make the heart pump from now on.. if the battery dies, she dies..
but the prognosis is very good. her heart is doing it's thing normally, now.. all vitals are perfect.. her heart rate was 130 beats per minute, for too long IMHO ..
she is feeling great and her disposition is greatly improved..

I am sorry to hear of Annie's heart surgery but very glad to hear that Annie is feeling better and doing great! Prayers for a speedy recovery and long battery life. I'm sure she will still keep you in-line, Jim!

I have been busy trying to finish up gardening - the tomato plants are still producing. I did get some tomatoes canned and I am "helping" DH build a tractor for the meat birds. They are 5 weeks old and need to get out of the barn. I have a couple of older layers that will be butchered when I do the Cornish cross. One of them is still laying, but only shell-less eggs every other day. I still need to weed-wack the garden down and pull the weeds off.

DH picked an ATV trailer full of pumpkins, spaghetti squash and acorn squash. Now we need to get the root cellar straightened out with shelves and get them stored away for winter. They are pie pumpkins so they are not very big - about 10" in diameter. I will bake a couple of pies this weekend, just to test them out before thanksgiving. ;)

We were down with the flu for over a week here. I am finally feeling better. Seems like everyone at work had it also.

Jim! Oh my goodness! I am so glad to hear Annie is doing well. Way too much stress for one day for you.

I do not know where you got the idea your projects are not of interest; I am always happy to read about what you are working on.

Oh goodness Jim, what an ordeal! I'm happy to hear she's doing better and I hope her surgery recovery is swift!

It always seems like so much is going on this time of year. I'm sorry to hear you have been sick, too, wyo but it's good to hear about you filling the shelves in preparation for winter!

I've been doing a lot of running around for my mom's birthday party (there's three people doing it but three guesses who's really doing it) and packing, too. I just realized I haven't really eaten yet today so I'm off to do that. I need to take better care of myself.

Dang Jim, nothing but the best wishes for Annie....hope she is on a speedy recovery and able to get back to doing things at home.
Nice pics bl4...thanks for sharing them! That's a lot of shrooms!
Me and Suzie just got our flu shots Monday....first time for both of us.....they were surprised to hear that....but we just don't like meds of any kind unless you have to have them. Hope your feeling better wyo and don't forget to eat kee…..something I need to often, cause I LOVE food!

thank you all for best wishes for Annie.
She said, no big deal, all I did was lie there, the Dr did all the work..
she can't drive for a couple of days and no lifting until after Sunday..
they did all the work by snaking the "tools" up a large vein from the groin area. she just has to watch it so that incision doesn't open up..
I am glad everyone is getting well and getting things ready for winter..

at about 4 PM today the sun came out. what a difference that makes on one's disposition.

we went for a short ride. there were a lot of pumpkins in one field. Annie mentioned how it is such a shame that so many pumpkins go to waste.. I don't like anything made from pumpkins, so I don't feel quite as bad as she does.. LOL..
