I am probably the only person in the world who does't like zuccinni .
Annie helped me today and I finished the window well. Now she wants me to do the other one that is on the same end of the house.
I suppose it would look better if they matched.. I have enough bags of concrete to do it, so I might as well..
Tonight, had yukon gold potatoes,
cream corn out of the freezer and pork roast wrapped in bacon. Oh yeah, and a dozen green beans from the pole beans. first ones this year. lots of blossoms .
Annie picked a whole bunch of ripe tomatoes. I can picture BLT's in the near future.

You all sure have some nice meals, wish my family would eat something that didn't come out of a box. Last night I baked up some catfish. I sure thought it was good but they didn't, needless to say my chickens got some leftover catfish this morning for breakfast. Boy did they enjoy that.

I really enjoy Catfish. Never goes to the chickens here. Food from the box is way high in sodium and not a great option. The health of the next generation will come to light sooner than later I'm afraid.
Fired the grill for chicken smoked with apple wood tonight...suzie made her famous southwestern beans for a side dish, even though they could be the meal.
Plenty of shooting around here today with the opening of dove and goose seasons today.

what can be left of a dove after it is hit with a shotgun shell ?
With turkeys, I seem to always get the piece of meat with a BB in it.
Annie went to work so my supper was ham & cheese on toast..
for lunch I warmed up some left over yukon gold mashed potatoes with ham gravy.
Who cooks out of a box ? Maybe if there weren't any box lunches in the house, they would eat real food. I would just cook for myself and let the rest of them fend for themselves..
but don't provide any box lunches for them..
You would be amazed at what they will eat when they are actually hungry ..

The International Poultry Show is in September in Portage WI.

I have one roo who is going to end up as dinner a lot faster than the rest..... he crows almost every 30 seconds.....

No Noelle I won't be attending. I have a busy schedule this time of year, as well as all the young birds I need for the coming year.
