Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

No snow here either, as far as I am concerned, those guys can keep being wrong this way..
the clouds are back, the sun was nice while it lasted.

I am trying to come up with some ideas that I can make out of oak wood that I can sell. so far it is cutting boards and napkin holders.

wyo, good ideas.
I have hung a few small nick knack shelves for Annie .
In fact, instead of a headboard for our bed, I put up a shelf with a railing . it is as long as the bed is wide. we have our phone, tv remote, bed remote etc on that narrow shelf..

anybody else getting snow right now?
Our mid afternoon blessing showed up at 8am
we have at least 2 inches and more coming down, hard.. no wind though..
supposed to get 6 to 8..

we ended up with just under 8''.
light and fluffy.
Bob came and plowed us out already.
tomorrow I will take Ollie and push the snow up onto the piles.
Bob can't pile it very high with the pick up truck..

We got about 7" of snow the other day. Don had a fit because the chute on the snowblower would not go up and down. He took it out of the garage today to see if it had a broken cable. It worked just fine, so I guess it must have just froze up.

As for wood projects, how about paper towel and toilet paper holders?

How about pot & pan trivets; Key ring holders too. Both these items are hard to find these days that are also made well.

Everyone hunkering in for a cold night? I blocked off 2 large vents (still left 2 other) on the windy side of the coop.

those are good ideas. I am making a list..
as soon as I can work in the shop without heat, I will make all of these ideas and post pictures.
I have a pile of 7"x7'' ceramic tiles that I can make into the trivets..
the key ring board I think would be nice if it had a white board or chalk board for writing messages and notes ..

I have another project idea ~ Don has tons of hats, why not a hat rack (upright or wall type). Or even a belt rack it would probably be the same style as a hat rack or coffee much holder.

I really dislike the negative numbers we have been having. Pixie is using the igloo for warmth. Don called her this morning and she didn't come out ~ he thought the worst and then she stuck her head out and went back in.

As for my valentine day excitement at Walmart just before closing, a guy tried to steal 5 hover boards. Unfortunately, my boss did not realize his friend and girlfriend did not pay for the stuff in their cart, but police will be notified and it is on camera. Guy trying to steal boards was probably the same one of the two that tried last week. the night before last, we saw one of them at closing. Never dull at work.

Hope everyone had a great Valentine Day ~ I had a blast at work.

I will add your suggestions to my list. thanks.
I made a hat rack for a lady . I used a spring from a garage overhead door. stretched it a little and attached it to a board. stuck the bills of the hats into the cracks of the spring.. she was happy with it, I often wondered if it left rust marks on the hats..she had 3 sons and a husband and dozens of hats..

I am having a cuppa Starbucks coffee. reheated..
GS works at Starbucks and brought us a pound of coffee
. It is good, even rewarmed if you add about 1/4 volume of water before heating it up..
