Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

We're on/by the Root River so we are on the mink lookout constantly. We still have to finish mink proofing our run. It's quite an undertaking. So much harder then the larger predators we battle

I didnt even think about Mink until someone mentioned it recently on here. Im not from Wisconsin - moved here 3 years ago. So switching from Coyotes as my biggest threat to Foxes, Racoons and now minks.... Will be getting more Hardware wire. and a trail cam.

We are in Salem, right along the Fox River.

We literally just started raising chickens. Have been working on the coop, addition to the existing coop and the run for months. Moved three 6 week buckeyes and seventeen 4 week buff brahmas down there last week. I was pretty informed about weasels, but as you, I hadn't explored mink until the last couple months. They are the WORST! we have concrete slabs in the existing coop and run. We built the coop addition raised 4 inches off the ground with 3/4 plywood floor and put a 8mm pvc vinyl plank on top of it. The run is enclosed chain link wrapped in 1/2" hardwire. We still have to button up some areas due to mink and get a metal roof on it.
