Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I bought a used lawn sweep early spring. I saving grass clippings now and mix some dry straw with it. Compost from what I read is 50% green 50% dry. It will take a few months but be ready next year I hope.

We had thundershowers at 4AM. I didn't hear any wind. It didn't last very long. it is raining again, now.
DD gave me a compost bin. It rotates from end to end. I think it would be hard to turn if it was loaded with compost.
I want to build one that rolls.
instead of tumbles.

I have one of the ComposTumblers and I really like it. However, at around 20 years old and a wild wind event in Wyoming, it needs some replacement parts and they are getting spendy! Right now I have a bird nesting in it because one of the side vents is missing, lol. I will move it and try to patch it up for composting this summer if I can. It has a handle and a "gear" assembly that makes it easier to turn.

This is what I have: https://mantis.com/product/compact-compostumbler/

that is the style I want to build.
the one I have tumbles end for end.
If it is half full, it would be hard to rotate. It is about a quarter full and I can just barely tumble it.

we were driving south from Merrill in the thick of the storm. I have never driven through a storm like that in my life.
when we got home, it was wet and puddles but no damage.
We didnt get anything here. We need the rain. Although my relatives in sauk county sent us a picture of atornado that wasnt that far from them. Luckly they are safe and their house wasnt damaged.
