Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

there was a bank of snow hanging off of the roof.
like a glacier.. at two AM it let loose. woke both of us up.
Now there is another one forming. but with the rain and
warm weather, I suspect it will all let loose at once.
the town snow plow took out our mailbox. again.....
I think this is the seventh time..
We are getting rain now. Almost all the snow that isnt in big piles is melted. We had to put bright orange stakes around our mailbox so the plows could see it.

Wow we have a whole 10f this morning. The wood boiler is rocking and rolling still in the middle of March. Extra layer of clothes to do chores this morning. Hoping this is the last real cold day.
In regards to the feed threads I feed medicated chick starter until they are about to start laying 18 to 20 weeks then switch to 18% layer feed my mill makes fresh on a constant basis. The roo's have no problem eating the same feed and the hens have an additional feeder for oyster shells and grit. I have a very healthy flock of 30 birds. Treats of whole corn and boss are given during the winter months.

Stay Safe and warm .... bigz

It must be spring, the sun is shining through the
patio door.
in might be warm and dry enough today for me
to go pull some boards off the stack and get them
into the shop. I came up with a good plan for my
table saw wheels.. the design is adaptable for any
size casters/wheels..
also adaptable for any power tool that has
a stand under it..
I am putting all of my equipment on wheels.
two jointers, a table saw, and a table saw extension table.
The planer has to stay where it is because of the 220 power..

I was told that the place in Amhurst still holds his auctions.
that's all i know about it..

Poultry shows. Aside the larger poultry shows you may look at the FFA. Many towns have fest and may have animal shows, judging etc. La Crosse fair they have animals.

Think it depend upon the bird flu. Going to a poultry show if the bird flu is still going could be a risk to your own flock or possibly others.

The spring migration I think will be a telling sign to the extent of bird flu this year.
