Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hey, did you hear the low tonight is 45F? At least, that's what it's going to be up here in Shawano County.

I have barely 4-month-old silkies that live outside in a temp coop, and they've never experienced this cold.

I drug out the cozy coop to put in their temp coop tonight. ☺️ Better safe than sorry!

It got to 55 here i think.

Good luck with the little guys.
This coming weekend we'll dream about it being 45 :)
Yup, I heard. What's hilarious is the temperature variations these chickens in Wisconsin go through, yet, we heat our coop and the number 1 reason slammed back at me is if the power goes out the temperature drop shocks them. If 100 to 45 doesn't shock them, nothing will lol.

where is it?

the cheapest we found around here is $5.oo/doz.
one place charges $7.oo/doz. she told my wife there
was no discount on volumn. she said they were selling
it ''dirt cheap'' as it was..
average price i see on market place is 5.00.
A lady ordered 20 dozen from me asked if discount when picking up. No discount.

Going towards La Crosse it is 7 and 8 dozen and not going to have the quality which I have.

picking corn in 102 and humidity, brutal. Actually I picked and used a wet towel on head with cap 3 times, twice in morning ( needed break) and again about 12 00 pm. ( ran out)
Wife showed up 230 and i was starting to run out. She asked you going to pick more. ...Nope going home.........:D

Sold yellow corn small field .20 acre
Just about done selling 1/2 acre bi color and 1/2 acre left. I have my garden hose and sprinkler going about 18 hours a day now. It is hard to water 1/2 acre corn.......with garden hose.................100 plus degrees coming..............no rain...........:rant

Guess it is really dry south of me. By me on the prairie I see some soybeans, not looking good. Even out where i am in the heavy soil no rain i dont think the pods will fill out like they should, but maybe I am wrong.

In all my years here I have never seen it this dry here, just to think it worse yet south of me.
A lot of farmers be hurting. Even if insured for crops, cows don't eat money.
