Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Trying to write a business plan for Purely Poultry. What are the demographics and psychographics of my customers. Oh boy I dont even know what psychographics means.

I think psychographics refers to the mental state of people who are addicted to raising chickens!

Tyler, while i'm in no position to offer much help, I would think a holistic position would be a compromise of both worlds....while I'm sure most folks are familiar with this web-site, I'll post a link for folks that aren't, just to give you an idea....you asked, eh?

Hope this helps, somehow.

Geez purleypoultry do you ever sleep? You don't have to bring me back anything from China but if they ask what I want tell them I'd like them to wipe out the US's debt to them. Thanks for asking though! I had to go into work today for a couple of hours and will have to go in tomorrow for about the same. That will help with knocking a few bucks off the bills. As I was walking out the door this AM at 5:30 I heard a very strange noise it sounded like soot falling down the wood stove chimney but I had just cleaned it and it came from the bathroom wall. It plagued me all morning I couldn't figure out what the heck could have made a noise like that inside of the wall. When I got home I was relieved to see an dead pine laying in the yard. But now there's one more thing on the list to do. Lots to do today. One is to clean the coop, I just read where someone was putting their coop straw and wood chips in their muddy run. That sounds like a good idea to me. It has perplexed me that the girls have to walk around in the mud. It really messes up their pedicures and nail polish. I'm really starting to worry about Bit*h. She's always been a little bigger than the other girls and her comb is very roo like. But I've seen her in the nest boxes. My constantly churning brain is wondering if her disposition isn't the result of her being a roo trapped in a hens body.

Now I'm wondering how much it would cost to ship her to Sweden for the operation? Has anyone out there done this? Please let me know. Putin on my longy's and heading out into the wide wide world to accomplish things. And have a talk with Bit*h.

Dr. HaHa I hate to break the news to you, but they do that operation here in WI right down the road from Menasha.....

Tyler, I can't wait to do business with you. As soon as I possibly can I will order birds but it might be a while since we still live in town and the housing market is in the dumps and we are still working on our house.......

I've been struck with the flu for the past few days (and no Tamiflu either, docs would not give it to me since I could not 'pinpoint' where I picked up my bug; like the virus has a return address....).... it does not seen any worse than 'regular' flu but it still stinks to be sick over Halloween; esp. with 4 kids in the house (well 5 if you count to DH)... made candy handing out very easy though; I popped a sign on the door that said "FLU". NOBODY even knocked! I was able to take a nice kid free nap!

Can I tell you what the crazy chickens I hatched are doing now? Apparently they have decided they would prefer to hang with the dogs in their kennel since the dogs have heated water bowls and nice heated dog houses..... the dogs have no idea what to make of this and spend their days staying out of the way of the chickens! How silly is that! I wish I was feeling better, I would love to get pictures of those silly birds and the petrified dogs......

Have a good day everyone and stay healthy!

Sorry to hear your ill babylady4. I haven't been sick in years. I eat a lot of garlic, pepper and onion. I probably shouldn't have typed that out loud. Seems to work for me. I'll go out and have another talk with "B". With her producing only one egg a day it might take a while for her to save up. And then she'll have to put up a sign at the end of the drive. Egg For Sale! But I'll let her know there's hope. She'll be glad to hear it. I just took a pic of her I'll have sit down and figure out how to post it. She'll be famous! Hate to hear your sick but at least the sign on your door didn't say Plague! Maybe DH will take the kids somewhere and you can get in another nap. Get some chicken soup or broth in ya and take it easy. I know it won't be easy with 4+ kids. Hope your feeling better soon!

I happen to be one of those people who catch everything; I take all the extra vitamins, get lots of rest, try not to stress out too much and yet I still get nailed... one of those things you learn to live with I guess.... but it really stinks since I am a very active person and I have a hard time sitting for any length of time......

Feeling better today, at least I will get decent rest tomorrow. SCHOOL!!!!

Took the kids trick-or-treating last night. They got TONS of candy. My kids were soooooo cute! Harry Potter and Blues Clues.

I had a great time last night. I went out all dressed up as a Greek Goddess. I looked so pretty! Left the DH at home with the kids. Seen some old friends and old BFs. I met up with my parents and they were hilarious. Surprisingly. A couple of my cousins and an aunt were there too. My hips hurt today from all the dancing. You missed out babylady4. West Bloomfield and Fremont were happenin'!

DrHaHa- one of my cockerals played in the nesting box when he was young. He hadn't crowed yet and only one pullet was just starting to lay. It was when she would get excited and go in the nesting boxes, he would go in another, as if to say, "What's all the fuss about? Is this what I'm supposed to do too?" It was quite funny actually.

Maybe you should post a pic here. I'm a pretty good judge of boys and girls, except with polish chickens. I got no clue there.

Good to see everyone is doing great. It's always cold and windy for the kids during trick or treat....they don't mind as much as the parents do, so it seems!

Still married to the ladder stands. It would be nice to get alittle lucky anytime now.

Hank, glad the girls are laying for you. It makes the whole process complete and worth the effort , i'd say.

Been firing up the wood boiler at night to take the chill out....the wood heat feels so goooood!
