Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Your right Dr HaHa, your humor does run deep. I will pay my dues with another 30 odd years to work

I will also try to enjoy my journey. It's been good so far!

The fainting goats are amazing and we have a very successful breeding program. The babies are great in the spring and fall over easily! The girls and I chase them sometimes to watch them fall. I know it's evil. The adults don't faint as easily and hopefully like the adults, Dom will grow out of it, but i bet it's just as funny. If you look on my website we have a video of them falling. It's not us on the video but it's pretty good. Your cat sounds great! Take care.

BCC I haven't seen that yet but do love to dig up worms and watch the fun. One of my fav memories is when they were in the brooder box and I tossed in a worm, it was pretty tight in there but one chick grabbed it and ran from the others until it saw 2 chicks in the corner and ducked under them to finish the treat by itself. Now that's entertainment! beckyschicks; It's not evil it's fun! Your not hurting them any. Wish I was closer I'd like to chase the kids too, all of them! MMMWWHAHA!

Trust me I'm not a perv I just relate to kids and animals, not like MJ it's just my calling I guess. Anyway I cleaned off the top of nest boxes today and let it air out and dry and was putting new chips and straw down and "B" came in the coop and started "B"ing so I "B"d back louder. It went back and forth 5 times in increasing volume. I was laughing so hard that tears were rolling down my face. It really made my day! And it was another new record. 12/10 I think they were backed up a bit. When I went into clean there were 2 hens in the boxes in the afternoon that was a first and both left us a present. Got my short list done today. Got my splitter back that I borrowed out to a friend and split what I had. Firing up the saws tomorrow. Ah the circle of life!

Evening all....the fainting goats sound like fun to have.
I need more buildings that's for sure.

DrH the black and white cats are the smartest cats you know... I have to start on the wood in the woods as soon as deer season is over. My splitter has alot of good stuff piled around it to move out of the way before Ican even get it out of the garage.

I wouldn't change a thing though. Well maybe, a few minor things.

Go Pack!

Bigzio; I didn't know that but I've had my suspicions. Bob is definitley the smartest cat I've ever let own me. We know each others languages very well. Both verbal and body. Laura freaked out when she first moved in that I knew what he wanted just by looking at him or listening to him. I told her that I raised him from a puppy. She asked why he is so well behaved? No tables, counters or other food prep areas. I told her that when he did something that I didn't approve of I chased him down beat him to within an inch of his life and now he obeys my every word. Which is actually pretty close to the truth but it was more of putting the fear of that possibilty that makes him toe the line. But he's a lot like me and likes to stick a toe across that line just to get a reaction from those in charge. That is the bond.

Going to try and make some more goat milk soap tomorrow. I will need to run out at some point and get more cocoanut oil, but I hope to make some Rose soap, Sunflower, gardeners friend, some Lavender, and maybe some spice soap. I think I'll need 2 days for all of that though!

Evening everyone......I'm pleased to have bagged a nice 8 pointer this morning. It dressed at 174 lbs and has a nice rack with 8 and 1/2 inch G2s. I'm a happy camper for sure.

Looks like my older hens are done laying til spring. They look good and are welcome to stay and forage while out and about. I'll care for them and allow them to stay. I'm going to prolly get some chicks from Jim this spring. He has 25 geese in the freezer. Said he would prolly get more turkeys next year.

Hope you'all had a pleasent day.

Tomorrow we will be boning deer. Praise the Lord, for a great harvest.

Hey Bigzio.Let me know if you are going to get chicks from Jim. I might want to, too. Depending on what he's got at that time and when they will be available.

And congrats on the buck!

Hope everyone is doing good. Been kinda down lately. Haven't wanted to do much. Kids keepin' me busy along with all the animals and DH. And now the clouds will be coming in along with the rain.

Just makes it worse.

I know most of you don't want to hear this yet, but......I WANT SNOW! I am soooo ready for it and then I can put out the Christmas decorations. I don't like Thanksgiving myself. I just do it for the family. I don't mind it with just my boys and DH, but then you add in the in-laws and my parents and whoever.....That's what I don't like. I like it simple. No fighting or arguing. No loud conversations that just go on and on with no meaning. Simple.

Anyway. Sorry about the rant.

Thanks for listening.

Congrats Bigzio! That sounds like a good looking buck! And you do need more out buildings, everyone should have some fainting goats!
Fordmommy- I know what you mean about the snow, right now looks so dark and crummy outside. I've enjoyed the past couple weeks with nicer weather and sunshine but now I'm ready for winter to start so it can be over! The short days make it hard to do anything outside and bring your mood down. Feel better!
I got all my x-mas shopping done!! Sorry had to brag! With 6 people in the house and a herd of relatives you have to start early. I finished yesterday! So happy!

Now on to cards.

Take care everyone!

More meat in the freezer for Bigzio! Making any sausages? I used to make brat patties and breakfast sausages. Will probably go back to hunting and making goodies next year. I have some vennie in the freezer from last year. Thinking of making jerky over T'day vacation. After T'day. Going to make it in strips instead of ground and pressed. I have a great marinade recipe for it and like it better. But you need to use old cookie sheets because you might as well throw them away afterwards. I agree with beckyschicks it can start so it's over. The time change sucks not much time to get anything done. Hang in there fordmommy it's a comin!

Good Evening....Thanks for the congrats and kind words from you guys, it means alot!

DrH, We are making the staples out of this deer. Steaks roasts and burger. If we are fortunate enough to harvest another, then homemade Italian sausage is a must.

Fordmommy, Raining out right now. I must admit that I'm glad it's not snow. Then I would feel depressed. Winters are too long, and the snow can wait til Christmas eve, and then melt New Years eve!

Becky, way to go with early shopping! Me & Suzie are seeing a ton of great deals in the papers....maybe we can work on the shopping after Thanksgiving. Too busy, and broke right now. Glad we will have another payday before xmas.

Glad everyone is happy and healthy....
