happy birthday fordmommy!
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine today! I am! We are going to the humane society to look today. Can't stand being home without a companion. Hopefully I will fall in love today wish me luck!
I agree as well we should all get together sometime and then we can put faces to names. Maybe at a show sometime? When are there shows? Being new thats something I'm looking forward too.
Take care everyone!

Hey Becky I've talked to you before about a year or so longer about your fainters. I raised fainters since about 1990 and was looking for a buck at that time. I recently got out of the fainters my kids have grown out of 4-H in the last year. But I will be looking for some in the future. My wife and I had a suprise three years ago and have another daughter that is three what a spledid suprise. Glad to see you on BYC it is truely a small world. Mike

If we want to meet we should start planning a day soon...then we can all get it on our calendars and save the date. The next step would be to find a place that is somewhat equidistant for all members than plan on coming; then we can plan the FOOD! That is my favorite part can you tell?
Since i am rather new to this forum I hae no idea where members are unless it says it in their profiles. I would volunteer to keep a list of who is interested and their location if we want to go ahead and start planning...it sounds like there is a bit of interest.

Bigzio and Suzie, Thanks for the Ecard! My youngest thought it was the best. He kept singing, "Happy Birthday to mom! Happy Birthday to mom!" over and over.

Terri O, we love January bdays here. My sister, mom, uncle, myself, all January babies!

I was thinking that I'd through a date out there. What about Saturday, Memorial Day weekend??? We never have plans that weekend, even though Dh bday is that weekend. We always just end up staying here. It's a holiday weekend so most people already have a few days off.....

And buck creek, when would you have those marans done and ready to go? I'd like to start planning. If I knew a date and a for sure done deal.

Welcome Hens and Roos! Hope you hang around and enjoy our ups and downs. Good place to vent or share your stories. We all like chickens! Maybe too much. Nah! Happy B'day fordmommy you should have called! You could have visited Peaches and met the girls. I'm about 3-4 miles west of town. I'm jealous too! I love crab legs and haven't had them for years. L's allergic to shellfish but has a couple of shrimp once in awhile and washes them down with benedryl. cp how'd the fishin go? bc When I went to get Bob his shots I ran into a guy I know and he was telling me he just had 2 litters of Jack Russel terriers. 15 puppies to contend with. He almost had me talked into one last summer when they were bred. Not happenin! Still having trouble with the stove drafting. Wondering if I don't have some build up just above the fire box. Going to let it go out and get up in there with a bent piece of metal to see if my suspicions are right. The barametric pressure affects it sometimes but usually for only a day or so. I think a get together would be fun but think the logistics might be a little tough.

Speaking about puppies.....have you tried craigslist? I was just looking a while back for a dog for my cousin and holy shmoly! Tons of puppies and stuff. I wouldn't hurt to just look.
