What a great family here.

If folks want to have a get-together, I'll stay out of organizing the event. Having it somewhat close for everyone would work. Unless you need my property for a real ruff it type situation....pee in the grass etc...

Last time in Neilsville, only 3 of us finally showed. Friends I still hold dear though...

I think the cold spring weather that is part of the neilsville swap, didn't help.

They have a bunch of ideas for get togethers in the "chickenstock" threads. Sounds like they draw quite a few members in OK and other parts South. That was a good suggestion from the Michigan people to start a thread for locations. I will read up on meets tomorrow when I am not as tired. Unfortunately Memorial Weekend will not work for me this year...graduation party to hold here for my youngest. Wait--if you all came and helped with the party we could have a combo meet at my farm! I hae already rented a tent...anybody good with additions on houses?

We're pretty open to any date except around the 4th of July. We don't do much around here. Mostly stay home. Last year was the first time in 4 yrs that we went on vacation. Just up to Shawno Lake and I ended up in the ER there and 3 days later in our ER and admitted for 4 days.

What a hoot it will be to have all of us in one place! We seem to be most densely gathered in the central part of the state. Are there any livestock shows or events to comingle for? Memorial day out for us, headed to a wedding in MI. Maybe better to steer clear of holidays, they are busy enough as it is. On the MI thread, they throw out a couple dates and vote for the one that works best for the most people. That might work for us.

Yeah, Memorial Day is bad for me as well. I am off every other weekend so the weekend before or after works! Wait; do you have to actually OWN chickens to attend?????

Would a park/BBQ setting work better than an animal show/swap? There are several nice parks that could accomidate families and also have shelter buildings, fishing, playgrounds,... you get the idea.

One more day of class!!!!!!! YIPPEE!!!!! Then 4 days of clinicals. YAY!!!
