Yep you're right about the Sun. It feels great too! Nice to see some more melting today.
I ordered some snowshoes for winter exercise. They have been on back-order for a while now. Prolly be here by Spring.

Oh well, I'll have them for future use.

My notice arrived that I have a Spring Turkey permit for the first season. 4-14-18 can't wait, that's alot of fun! The DNR is drawing for the fall Bear Harvest this week. I hope I'm lucky enough to receive a tag .

Good evening to all! Well things have improved slightly 5 eggs today but mamma is still sleepin in the nest box. Had to run to Rudolph to pick up the dead cow. One freezer full. Pig coming next week. Wish they had spaced it out a little pig payment won't be till taxes come in. Which could be any day. Went to Ace all they had was 250watt heat bulbs. Same with TSC so that's watt [pun intended even though lame] I have for now. Bizio T hunting is a lot fun I've done it for years. didn't last year for some reason. I've been lucky at it never failed to fill a tag. Never bear hunted sounds like fun! Don't care for the meat too greasy for me. Sausage is pretty good though. Today was a milestone. I went into the 2 digit column for days left to go to work.

99 days of work to go 99 days of work. Punch the clock walk out the door 98 days of...... BBCB it's who we are! Chicken people. Lets just leave it at we're different.

That's a good one! But I have to check to see if I got a reply to my request to change it to Chicken Lips. I'll look a little later. You say that now but wait till I get a few beers in me I almost make myself pee my pants. I have some sad news. My thought that Mamma had gone broody was wrong. She was in the nest box again last night and once again I checked her over. She passed sometime this morning. Still warm but lifeless. She was sick the whole time and I didn't know it. There were no indications of any kind. I checked everything that I've read about. Eyes, nostrils, breathing, vent all seemed normal. Just sad!

That's why the other hens were picking on her and there production was down. They knew. Wish I had! I just feel really bad for her. I'll do a major clean out odf the coop With her gone they rest of the girls gave us eight eggs today.
