Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Awwwe. That's so sad. No indication even now that you look back? How old was she? Was she eating? I had an older hen that just stopped eating. I had to place her by the food and even then she didn't eat or drink much. She wouldn't do anything but stand there. She would stand by the others though. I finally put her down so she was out of her misery.

Sorry to hear about Mamma, Dr Ha Ha. I know most animals try very hard not to show any weakness until it's to late to help them, not that is makes it any easier. Good memories always help.

OK OK There I got it done! I like it ! Thanks fordmommy! No, but looking back as we often do I wish I would brought her in the house. But didn't realize she was sick. She would come out to eat when fresh feed was poured but didn't eat much and went right back in the nest. That's why I thought she was just broody. I just don't know. Not doing a necropsy. All the rest are as peppy as ever. I just feel like I screwed up somehow and she paid the price. She was born in May along with all of them including me and Peaches! MAY BABYS ROCK!
