DrH I'm with you in regards to helping the children with the additional eduaction.
It's a great investment for their future. We all want the kids to be successful, and a few thousand bucks later....We helped enough to make it all possible without the added debt for a youngster. Money well spent, eh!

BCC nice peeps. Housing, housing, and more housing. That's what we need here on the hill.

Tyler, it's a shame folks do buisness in America that way, however it's become the norm. One would think that after all that happened here with fraud and such, that things would change. However it's buisness as usual here, eh!

becky; Thanks for the condolences. Life goes on just look at the pics from BCC. I have a cousin who likes his potatoes "with bones". In other words boiled but still firm. Yummie! Sounds like your going to have scrambled eggs about the same way except with dirty lint. Have to do some thinking to come up with a name for that. Maybe starvin to death eggs with crunches and fluffy colorful stuff omlet. I sit here and am amazed once again how much I love my chickens. And how cool you all are! Thanks!!!!!

We're going out snowmobiling in a little bit. They opened the trails this morning here. Kids at the grandparents.

I've done that too - I've gone out to collect my duck eggs, put them in a pocket, got distracted by other chores, and a while later I suddenly wonder my my jacket feels wet. One time, I didn't even realize it until one of my dogs mugged me, desperate to lick at my pocket.

Luckily, I've only done it awhile back, before I had any drakes, so none of the eggs were fertile - otherwise I would have been horrified that I killed the wee little ducklings.

Good Morning All! Ah...the pocket egg smash! I love that don't you? My fave was the time I took all the eggs out of my pocket (I thought) and went to the grocery store. As the bagger and I were heading out to the car I reached into my pocket for the keys and YUCK! Covered in egg goo. I scooped out what was left and dumped it in the parking lot. The packer was horrified. I was like, "It's just an egg!" "Yeah, but what was it doing in your POCKET?" Probably thinks eggs only come in cartons...he had no idea....Terri O---now going out to collect eggs WITH a bucket!

Sticky steering wheel. Surprised he didn't call the cops for theft. Ma'am where'd you get egg? T.O. I found it. Cops; and just where did you find this supposed egg? T.O. well at first I found it in a nest. Cops; Do you expect us to believe there are nests in a grocery store? T.O. no ocifer I do not. But if you talk to the health inspector he might say there is. I just don't know. Cops; So your saying you think the feds are involved? T.O. I never said that! Cops; Ma'am turn around and interlock your fingers on top of your head. T.O. What the???? Cops; George call the FBI, the CIA, and Homeland it looks like we have another terrorist and a racists the egg was brown. Might be a skinhead. Oh she's trying to escape shoot to kill!!!! The End. Had a ball cleaning the coop this morning got to interact with the chillins. Did a complete clean out. Oh the convo's we had. When it came to wiring up the new heat lamp I had 3 hens telling me how to do it. I had no idea that chickens had elec knowledge. Glad I got up today! I learned something. I had such a good time! Hope you are too!

Sorry. My first time hatching and all.....

Had a great time on the trails last night. Pretty decent but a little icy in a couple spots. Great super too. Shrimp skewers with garlic butter......

Yum! Hopefully we'll go snowmobiling tomorrow afternoon too. First we gotta get our new windows and patio door.

Plans to do that tomorrow first.

What a beautiful day! TerriO I wouldn't get your hopes up. I'm not much. I just have my moments. My wit can cut. Some don't like it but I call's em as I see's em. So I'll applogize in advance. If I ever do hurt anyone's feelings I'm sorry. Really, honest.

Just ignore me and I won't go away. fordmommy Hope your hatch goes well! What are you hatching? Refresh my memory. Seems I've had too much 70's 80's and 90's. Na that can't be it. Glad you had a good time out. You deserve it. Think the kidlets like the heat lamp but noticed they were moving around at 4:30 this morning. Hope it's not keeping them awake at night. Even before the lamp Peaches would start crowing about that time. I could just barely hear him in the mornings. My hearing is good it's the listening that's faulty. I dumped all the cleaner straw out in the run, they liked that! Should help with the mud next spring. Sure do love the smell of fresh straw. And hay! And chickens! And.... Already did a lot of odds and ends this AM, now on to making my B'fasts for some of next week. Anyone care to guess what those might consist of? Made hot dogs on the grill last night in prep for chili dogs today for the stupidbowl and Daytona. Then threw on a couple of T'bones.

Gonna have a busy evening early this week. I'm having the hams and lard from the pig left fresh not frozen and having a guy make me some [real] ring balogna. I'll cut up the hams and what's not used will be stew meat. This guy makes the best sausages I've ever had. Just a hobby for him. Oooh maybe I could make some up for whoredevours for the Bash!
