Oh no! I hope the eggs will be ok too! At least they didnt smash entirely. THAT would have been a tragedy. I think DH is becoming intrigued by the chickenstock. I keep telling him what is going on on here and he is starting to know who is who! He is encouraged by the fact that we have talked about guns, movie lines and dreams. Well, maybe not dreams so much...he hates when I try to tell him my long involved ones. Especially the "house" dreams!
I am making venison stew for supper tonight...mmmm. It is almost the last of it though; my neighbor didnt shoot one for me this year, (we dont hunt) and the stuff in the good freezer had to be tossed...we had a cat unplug it last fall! Lost a TON of meat and stuff. It did need to be cleaned anyway but I just that throwing out all that stuff! What a waste!
So I realized that we have almost no pork left either...looks like the chickens wont be getting so much in the line of leftovers. I will pick up a few pigs in a month or so when it is a tad warmer. Besides there are lambs in the pig stall and ducks (with no feet!) in the other stall. This farm is becoming the home of misfit creatures let me tell ya!
Have a great day everyone--I am missing the sun this morning! Terri O
