Happy ST Pat's everyone! Boy, I miss one day and it takes me an hour to read up on all you have been up to! Busy place here in spring. I went to see my chicks out and H&Rs place and they are so adorable! I took some pics and I will put them on next. I vote for using the church camp next year for our chickenstock. Heck, the we can call it a chicken retreat! (and maybe the birds can even come along and stay overnight!) There was so much I wanted to comment on while reading back but I have forgotten most of it...Darn! The one thing I do remember is that who ever's daughter that was with the chick and the peace PJs is just gorgous! Look at thos eyelashes!!!! I am in eyelash envy! You better watch out with that one...

I talked to a rescue group yesterday and will be the new home of a homing pigeon from Chicago and a 1 legged roo! He is going to come here to live with the rest of the mismatched creatures that call this place home. It is a good thing that I am not married to a sympathetic man like some on here...we would really have a ton of animals. He tends to rein in my collection!

Last night about 9:30 we had a very inebriated man outside that tipped his Harley. He stopped on the shoulder to answer his cell phone and his "leg turned into a noodle and the bike went over." We helped him set it up and then smelled the alcohol and I wanted to call him a cab but then the bike went over again and spilled the oil out. I took it as a sign and brought him in to wash up and call a friend to come and give him a ride home. So now I have a Harley in my driveway! Ha Ha...somebody will think I am "entertaining" while DH is out working! So we were good Samaritans last night. At least we didnt have to call 911 and see him scraped up off the pavement!

OK--I told myself that I would be off of here by 10! Gotta get outside and finish that front garden and about a million other projects. But first I have to see if my cell phone has "cooked" enough. A cat peed on it last night!!! Trying the oven method to dry it out! So H&R...use a 648 in front of the rest of my number and you will get the house phone...leave your number and I can call you back. I dont know any numbers...they are in the smart chip!

Oh yea one more thing...woodchucks are vegetarians...they wont eat your chickens but can damage foundations of coops. Please dont kill him!

So much for getting of of here at 10! So here are the chicks that "Blue" hatched for me and also a pic of the flodk that I got the eggs from. Yes...I will have Barnyard Specials. The eggs all taste the same!!! TErri O SSHHH!...That is NOT a Muscovy in the forefront

Yeah, we've got two beautiful daughters, but this one is going to break a lot of hearts. She is a little worker, takes after her mother. She's the first one to roll up her sleeves and pitch in...she's going to be in the coop with me every day, no doubt.​

TerriO nice flock and chicks! Hope you weren't using the cell when the cat gave it's opinion of it. BBCB agreed, she'll give you trouble, as said before their so darn cute when their little. I pushed the old coop straw and poop back up into the pile with the new blade and the kids proceeded to throw it back into the yard. Darn now I'll have to do it again, soon. Must have uncovered a nip plant of some sorts Bob was on his way back from his domain check avoiding the chickens and did a sudden right turn towards the flock, Peaches immediately went on the defense between his girls and Bob. Bob stopped short and started rolling in it. Don't know what the deal would be with the christus camp next year but you might want to be careful not bring religion into things. Might not suit some folks. Keeping it neutral might be wise. Just a thought. Farm raised sirloin going on the barbie in 2 minutes with a side of garden green beans as a side. gotta go!
