Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Can any of you tell me how to get the the Beaver Dam swap tomorrow if I'm coming from Portage on Hwy. 33?

The directions I'm getting on googemaps are ridiculous.

EDIT: Never-mind, I found the Fairgrounds website; they've got good directions and now I don't think I'll get lost. I'll see any of you that are going there!

I've had that happen for no apparent reason, could be someone who is also selling eggs and doesn't want the competition, or someone else just has a bug up their **s and wants to make you miserable. From what I can tell, there is no problem posting eggs or other produe on there...you see it all the time. Keep posting, and you can try what hubby is recommending as well. What a pain.

Brownies and Banana bread just out of the oven...it smells great in here! I had a couple cracked eggs today so I wanted to bake them up right away. Glad the fam is out at a hockey game (or something) I am going to eat the whole pan of brownies and then at least one of the loaves of bread!
I posted eggs for crafting on Craig's list...hasnt been flagged yet...probably nobody reads it! One year I had so many requests for goose eggs to open and decorate I couldnt keep up. Maybe nobody does that any more? I will try posting on a different city list than Madison's. THat is the closest list to me. I have even offered to deliver eggs! I have SO MANY! There should be a smiley that is rolling in eggs...I would sure use that one!
All chicks are doing fine...the new one legger Tiny Tim is tired--I just let him cruise around the living room for a half hour. Mr Red is sleeping and Homer (he is the new pigeon) is outside. I set up a big flight cage for him until I can get a pigeon loft built. He is sharing the tack room with the feral cat...she is not pleased. She hates sharing her room!

Hey last night on the John Tesch show he mentioned BYC! They were talking about the movement of back yard chickens and healthy food. I thought that was pretty cool.
Gotta go and cut that bread...should be cool enough now! Guess I will have it for desert and, gee--I think I will have eggs for supper...again!
Look for me tomorrow in Beaver Dam...burgundy BYC sweatshirt--I am leaving home at 5 if I can get up and moving by then!

Where did you find this? On the Fairgrounds web site there is a swap on the 3rd and one on the 17th. The swap on the third costs $2 over the age of 12 and starts at 6, the one on the 17th starts at 7. The swap for the third was in the Buyers guide as well with all of the info you have posted but not for the 17th.....

I did not want anybody to be confused as to the time and place of when things are happening......

Well we are going to the Dells tomorrow for a family fun day. Going to the Wilderness lodge overnight. Decided to treat the kids and the rates are better now then over easter break. So I will not be going to the beaver dam swap. Kinda sad about it too. But at least I won't be coming home with anything. Everyone have fun and buy something pretty for me! Have a good rest of the weekend everyone!

That sounds fun Beckyschicks! My extended family is trying to plan something in the Dells too but next month is crazy for me! I have a real problem with overnites with the farm. You guys have a fun and safe time.
I am up and checking out the map for double secret shortcuts to Beaver Dam. As soon as th coffee is ready I am off. Decided I will not take my truck...then I wont buy anything too big! Hope to see somebody! Happy shopping...Terri O

Back from the swap for about an hour alread. Man, it was COLD! I felt sorr for the parakeets and other house birds that were outside!. I found a Pekin girlfriend for my drake and a pigeon pal for the new Homer. Both the boys said, "whooo!" Well, at least Homer did! The girl duck was the one to sa, "MACK,MACK!" When she saw Mr. Mr. I guess he must be quite a looker. He sure is white compared to her....the man said she was playing in he mud. I also picked up some Anconas (I Think that is how you spell it) I am going to do some looking after I post here. I picked 5--hopefully I got a mix!
I kept looking for you Annarie but there were so many people! I talked to a delightful little girl about button quail...I will have to get some of those! They are just adorable. ANybody else make it to the swap?

Looks like it's turning out to be a nice day...I think I am making a trek to TSC. Need a few things. Terri O

HOLY CRAP! TO Where are 5 anaconda's going to sleep? I don't even want to know what your going to feed them. Sorry I had to. I'm warped! I do like your naming thoughts, Homer fits so well.

I suppose Terry O won't have to worry about the extra eggs she's trying to sell on craig's list or the chickens for that matter

We were at the Beaver Dam swap today, good thing the kids took along their winter coats! Interesting to walk around and see what was available. Looked but didn't see any Bantam Ameracuana chicks, might have to see about getting some eggs-saw some out on the BYC page from IN that ends today-good thing my DH is okay with it! We did see Anconas chicks, Terry O did you get them from inside the building from the people along the back wall and in the far left corner from when you first walked in? My kids thought they were neat but given that we already have a mediterranean breed we just looked.

This is what we did come home with: 10 Partridge Cochin Bantams about 3-4 weeks old. Our oldest son decided on these since we were unable to get the other chicks he was looking for, our daughter thought they were cool too!

The chicks love to sit on our hand and actually don't want to get off!
