I feel really good today too...I guess I needed that LONG nap yesterday...then to bed at 9 and slept through until 5:30...sure wish the body didnt need that much sleep!
Kinda cloudy here now and getting windy--probably it will be raining by 3 or so I am thinkin'. I am eating a bite and then off to get the laundry down and some dinner started in the crockpot...have a great day everyone! Terri O
(PS) Does anybody want to adopt 2 Sulcata tortoises? I had a call from a rescue in IL that has some to adopt out...do you research though! I cant have them

Well KAQ, the apple sure doesn't fall far from the tree! What a nice looking family you have.

My interviews are done. Y'all keep your fingers crossed, I'd hate to have to be sleeping out in the chicken coop. Too bad you can't make a living as a chicken farmer, I'd probably be happy just slinging chicken poop, filling feeders and waterers and messing with birds.

thanks bbcb for the compliment... and yeah you can make a living at chicken farming you just need lots of land a couple of really big pole sheds and a tractor or two to carry all the feed bags

Kool Aid Queen, that pic is gorgous! Beautiful family! They did a great job with the dress shopping and hair do-es! A+!

Quiet here on the homefront. Sunny but breezy. I have about 10 babies I will be taking to the Wisconsin Rapids swap on Saturday. Anyone coming besides me and BCC. Dr Ha Ha, you're coming again aren't you? Anyone else?????

KAQ being that the majority of my life has been spent on two wheels I can only hope it was fast. No matter the past. Glad to hear that the girls are old enough to understand. That comes from an old road warriors heart. fm of course we'll be there with rain coats on. Maybe silly hats too. Today was the first day that it really came to me that I didn't have to go into that insane assylum. It came to me while I was sitting on a pail in the garden weeding. Playing in the dirt, needed water for my toes. I had to fence off the garlic to keep the Mongolians out. Here was my favorite girl Brownie. She covered every inch with me for over 4 hours. She's my baby girl! And she's very pretty! Like she didn't know. Heavy heavy sigh!

well we candled the eggs tonight at day 14 and have 3 Welsummer eggs and 2 BW/W Ameraucana eggs that are showing good development and 2 BW/W eggs that are questionable. Had 1 egg of each that were clear so we removed them. We'll see what next week friday brings

Have a good evening everyone!

Evening to All.... Thanks for sharing the pics of the family KAQ, I know you are proud of that fine family, as well as the feathered ones!

Busy day here to. Moved some more gravel, but only a few loads today...all in due time. I moved a bunch of stuff around in the garage to make room for the brooder. I have a 4X8 trailer with sides that is going to work perfect without building anything....

Helped my daughter get her car out of storage. One tire was low on air, so back to the house for the air compressor to get enough air in it to get her home. I'm proud that she is responsible and takes care of her stuff. She works all the overtime she can get....

Doc, I have the same good stuff here. I spent hours today in the garage and pole shed moving good stuff around, trying to create the needed space. I only found a couple things too that needed to go. My tractor needs some adjustments. Some new parts are in order I think. I was just reading in Backyard Poultry that garlic is really good for the flock. Sounds like yours already figured it out, eh!

Have fun at Rapids.

Glad you say that garlic is good Bigz! I just picked up a bunch of plants while on my ride from my neighbor! Cool--I will wait until I have it established before I let the girls in though...

I wanted to ride my other horse tonight too but it started to rain just as I was on my way home with the first horse...oh well, tomorrow is another day! (and I get to sleep until 8!!!) Thinking of that, I guess I better get the chores done and get up to the rack! Happy weekend all! Terri O (PS) good luck at the swap!

Morning All! Started raining about 10 minutes ago was hoping it would hold off till after the swap. Glad I got the garden tilled and weeded. Think I got a little sun yesterday. Still have to add the 10 extra feet to the garden. The tiller worked flawlessly it turns out that it even will till chicken wire. Oops! Good day for cooking and getting the garden seeds organized. Will plant the cool weather seeds as soon as the rain lets up. Bought some whole wheat flour yesterday going to make some bread. Never used it before. Rules are the baker gets at least one heel. Yummie! Gotta go fm just called she there already.
